*DING* The phone lit up, "Hello". The bright light coming out of the screen practically blinded me. "It's 2am on a Monday, who would be up at this time?" I sat up, my vision still blurred after being asleep only a few seconds ago. I rested one hand on the bed while the other went to grab the phone. I stared down at the slightly cracked screen and saw who it was from. Literally nobody that I knew. It was an unknown number. I unlocked my phone, still confused about the fact its a random number and they are texting me at 2 in the morning. I opened my messages and started typing, "Who are you?". The message sent, but there was no answer. I then continued to turn off the device and lay under the silk smooth quilt on my bed, still struggling to figure out who the mysterious person who messaged me so early in the morning happened to be. *BEEP BEEP BEEP, SMASH*. I slammed my hand on the alarm clock, causing it to break. The noise was deafening and was very unpleasant to listen to. Time to wake up, another boring day in hell. No, not literally hell, I mean the world. It's filled with lowlifes who have no respect for ANYONE other than their selves. They think they can mentally/physically harass whoever they want and be disrespectful to anyone they meet. Anyways, I got out of the old, uncomfortable bed and checked my phone again, no more notifications, amazing. I gazed out the window and locked eyes with a peculiar human-like thing. I was paralyzed, unable to move from where I was, still staring at the thing. Who-what-creature-thing-human-monster-what-help-scared-stuck. The words kept repeating in my head, I didn't know what it was, until I finally was able to look away and close the covers on the dusty, dark painted wooden window. I sneakily peaked through the blinds and saw that the thing was now gone. I ran out of my room, sprinted down the stairs and out the front door and scanned over the surrounding houses, still in my pj's, but nobody was there, it was as if I was the only one there, no noises, nothing. But I walked back inside, trying not to think about what I had just seen. I made my way to school, staying aware of what could be watching me. *CRACK* I suddenly stopped in my tracks, glaring through the bushes and slanted trees, terrified of what that noise could of been. "Hello!?" I exclaimed. No answer. "HELLO?!!" I yelled out loud, making it clear that I was trying to communicate with someone. *AHHHH* *STOMP STOMP STOMP STOMP* I wasn't going to stop running. My whole body was shaking, my legs felt weak and I knew my body wanted to stop but I couldn't, I wasn't going to die, not today, NEVE-. *BANG* My head hit the ground and it was pitch black. I could feel someone shaking me, as if they were trying to wake me up from a deep sleep. My eyes slowly separated, and I knew who it was the second I saw them. It was my well-know friend Emmett. By well-known I meant best friend. "Haha, you should've seen the look on your face!" he stated with a grin on his face. "Oh, f*ck off Emmett!" I said with a frown on my face. "Chill out dude, I was just joking!" Emmett replied. We continued along the path to school until another horrifying scream interrupted us. *AHHHH* "Dude what was that!?" "Why are you asking me! Just run!!" I yelled with a terrified look on my face. *STOMP STOMP STOMP STOMP* *AHHHH* *STOMP STOMP* We finally made it to school, not knowing who or what that was or where it was coming from. All we know is that they were definitely in trouble.
