It was a sunny and bright afternoon, you were taking a walk on the path to Windrise. You wanted to see if Venti was there, as he usually spends his time there napping, or drinking. You and the bard had quite the friendship, but you felt something else when you were around him. He always managed to lift your spirits up when you felt down, and make you laugh.

He's amazing. You thought, whenever he made you feel cheerful and happy.

You kept walking down the dirt path, kicking small rocks and sticks in the way. You had also brought a picnic basket with you, hoping that you would be able to have lunch together. I mean, he promised you that next time you came around, you two would have a picnic. You had put some apples, sandwiches, dandelion wine, and small pastries in the basket. You could hear the wine clinking and hitting the sides of the basket.

You finally finished walking along the path to Windrise, and you were exhausted. You slowly put the picnic basket down, attempting to catch your breath. But before it could hit the ground, it was lifted up again by another hand. You looked up to see a familiar face.

"Venti!" You exclaimed, hugging him.

"Hello Y/N! I see you brought a picnic with you today! Anyway, here come with me!" He says, dragging you along by the arm. You smile. This was very 'Venti-like'.

"Look Y/N! Doesn't this spot look nice? It even has these Windwheel Asters!" He laughs, still holding onto your arm, but soon sliding his hand down to hold yours. You both look at each other, laughing and smiling. You then sit down, surrounded by vibrant flowers. Venti opens the basket and gasps.

"You brought apples and dandelion wine with you! Thankyou Y/n! You know me so well~" He says smugly, making you turn away flustered. You wave your hands in front of your face.

"A-anyway, here's to a good feast!" You exclaim, smiling and holding up your glass of dandelion wine. Venti does the same, your glasses both clinking together.

"Ahh those sandwiches were great Y/N! So I'm guessing you made them~" Venti says teasingly, but you just wave it off. You put your apple core down onto the ground.

"I'm glad you liked them Venti." You smile, and lie down on your back. The breeze was cool and refreshing. You closed your eyes, listening to the wind.

"I wish this moment could last forever..." You say, opening your eyes and facing Venti, who was also lying down next to you. You both giggle, and you close your eyes once again. You start drifting off to sleep, while Venti watches you.

"Oh dear Y/N..." he smiles sadly, and strokes your hair out of your face. The fate of a mortal is tragic, and they can't live as long as a god, who is immortal. If only he could spend everyday together with you for as long as he lives, he would be the happiest person alive. He slowly stands up, trying not to wake you, then he goes over and picks a Windwheel Aster and sits back down next to your sleeping body. He places the flower in your hair, fiddling with it. He then brings his face close to yours, then places a kiss of your lips.

"I love you Y/N." Venti says, then lies down with you and fades into a peaceful slumber.
