These words echoed through your head like an endless lope, casually repeating itself like a broken record. But luckily, someone saved you from this endless pain that Kurokawa cursed upon you. Kakucho.
Kakucho saved you from what seemed like endless nights of you crying just because of Izana. He comforted you, was there when you needed someone, defended you, and just cared for you. But, there was a limitation to all of that. Kakucho ended up getting tired of you. He was never that, the sweet and gentle guy you know before but instead, he was colder than ice itself. He distanced himself and never spoke to you.
Once again, you came back into that pit, a pit where you, loneliness, and darkness are one. You locked yourself back into your apartment, not socializing with anyone and not going out when it's not necessary. You drifted away from everyone, even when your friends were there to comfort you, you only pushed them away. You don't want the past repeating itself anymore, you're getting tired. One day, a knock was heard from your door as you groaned ignoring it.
"Y/n, you here?" your eyes widened hearing that voice, it was someone's voice who you wanted to hear. You quickly got up and opened the door and saw Kakucho. He was wearing his Tenjiku uniform as he smiled.
"Hi," he says as you hugged him. Even though he seemed to abandon you, he never said anything that hurt you unlike Izana, he hugged you back and stroked your back gently.
"I'm sorry for what I did before. I should've told you the truth." he says as you looked at him.
"What do you mean?" you asked looking up at him.
"I thought that I was y'know gotta be gone when we win the fight. And I can't see you anymore cause I'm afraid that they might come after you if they see us hanging out. But I was wrong I guess, and also... Izana died." your eyes widened as you hugged him tightly.
"He saved me. Oh and also, he said to tell you this.."
" "Hey y/n, I know I didn't treat you right because of a reason I can't tell you. I still care and love you and I'm sorry if I didn't treat you right, but I guess this is karma... I have always loved you.." "
"Those were his last words before he passed away." You stroked his cheeks as he was crying.
"Wanna visit his grave?" you asked him as he smiled a bit nodding.
You smiled patting his head gently.
'guess there was never a happy ending for us, huh.'
