The last touch of sunlight burned through the horizon behind the mountain ranges all around, waving goodbye to the city that never sleeps as it filled itself with lively lights to welcome the night. Amidst that concrete jungle, he leaped from building to building in hot pursuit of an enemy that he wasn't even sure that he could confront. All he had was her voice guiding him and with that, he continued on.
"We're close, be on guard..." She said.
"Yeah," but here, worries began to flood his mind. Across the block he was at was a vast forest behind warning fences and for that he couldn't help but be suspicious of things. A worried expression washed over him as he landed on a building's rooftop, two leaps away from where she was leading him to.
From within his mind, she asked, "What's wrong, Izuku?"
"Don't you think it's a bit weird? He's been going around the city since this morning but now that we're close, it lands us here. Any chance this is a trick or some kind of rabbit whole trap thing?" He questioningly answered.
"Hmm," she hummed, seeming to be thinking it through. It was an odd situation all in all. An Otsutsuki hiding instead of fighting an all out battle that he would most likely win is a weird sight to see. And that chakra signal, it seemed off even for an Otsutsuki, only now will she admit that. "Maybe it's a cloning jutsu that only they can use, that explains that abnormal chakra signal. Since it's just a clone, it shouldn't have enough chakra to fight so it's leaning towards an ambush," but even with that, she knew that it still didn't make any sense. Clone or not, Otsutsuki are known to be masters of space and time bending techniques, knowing that, their chakra reserves were nowhere near scarce. Not to mention the way that he seemed to be connected to a source of chakra that continued to send more towards him.
"No you're right, something's definitely off. What's going on here?" It dawned on her now that she was having tunneled vision when it came to tracking him down, not even checking to see if it was an enemy that they can fight toe to toe with. Or if it even was the enemy that they needed to fight.
"Only one way to figure it out," Izuku pooled some of his chakra towards his eyes and activated his sharingan, his irises briefly flashing red with black markings (tomoe, "," shaped patterns) before fading back into green.
There he saw what was heading his way and immediately raised his right hand in front of face, gritting his teeth as a gust of wind blew over him from his front and as the tip of a silver sword pierced through his palm, stopping merely an inch away from stabbing the bridge of his nose.
"N-Not even a warning," Izuku bantered as he slowly, shakily, but surely fought against his foe's strength, gripping the edge of the weapon with his bleeding hand as he pulled it down enough to see the face of his enemy.
It was a male with short, spiky white hair clad in a very familiar and long, white coat that reached up to the person's calves with it's collar upturned and opened up from the person's chest. The coat had oversized sleeves that gradually widened up more as it stretched towards this person's wrists. A few deep and bold '9' patterns in contrasting black color lined the edges of the person's coat by their wide V-neck collar, the ends of their sleeves, and around the bottom where their coat ended.
He wore a pair of obsidian dark boots and matching gloves while around his forehead rested a white bandana.
There Izuku's eyes lingered towards the person's face and asked, "What the hell is up with your skin dude—no scratch that," he noticed that the cracks didn't only affect his skin but even his clothing and everything that he had, even those pitch black eyes with only his grayish irises touched by the concept of color. That lead him to change his question, "What the hell happened to you?"
