Dear Diary,
I haven't updated this in ages so sorry about that.
Anyway I wanted to talk about the different opinions that people can have, no opinion is right or wrong, it's what a person thinks about something, their view on it.
The other day, all the girls in my form got told that we were going to have injections to help prevent a type of cancer. Loads of people were like 'I'm gonna pass out when we get the injections' and 'I'm so scared'. I tried to reassure them and tell them that there's nothing to be afraid of. However Foxglove started saying that its perfectly fine to be scared of needles, then we got into one of our little arguments. When I said that there's nothing to be afraid of, I wasn't saying that its stupid to be scared of needles, I was just saying my view of it but Foxglove must have seen it in a different way to how it was supposed to come out.
Another thing that me and my brother have different opinions on is music. I'm into mainly things like 5sos and The Vamps but he loves metal so bands such as Nirvana and Metallica. When we have to tidy things downstairs, I will normally put on my music, soon to be followed by complaints from Giraffe, and vice verca, if he puts his music on too loud, I will start yelling at him. You can probably tell I don't get on well with him.
Also, recently a couple of my friends have been having arguments about homosexuality (gays and lesbians). I have nothing about homosexuality, just to put that out there. My brother is in fact bi-sexual and so are most of his friends. I find there is nothing wrong with that. However some people have to say that they're against this because its against their religion to have couple with the same gender when in reality, they have no problem with it. One of my friends was saying that they were homophobic (were against gays and lesbians) because she was a Christian and it was against her religion. When I talked to her later on she said she had no problem with it and that she was just saying that because of what her religion believes.
Peoples opinions can be biased due to different things such as: where they grew up, who they spend most of their time with, any religions people follow and many more. Just because a certain person says they believe in something it might not necessarily mean that they believe in it because they want to they might have been made to believe things by their parents or a religion. Just remember, an opinion is never right or wrong, its just what a person thinks.
