Eerie silence follows
The darkness or daybreakers,
The lulling train rolls,
Woven seats, not many takers.
The early birds,
Chattering quietly,
Filling the emptiness,
Tackling the day brightly.
Many with sleep-lidded eyes,
Closed for the destination.
Long journey ahead,
Before reaching their station.
Then there are those,
With plugged-in-earphones,
Not wanting to be disturbed,
Silently listening to their tones.
As the day wears on,
The tracks go on,
One by one,
They leave.
Gone.
