Chanyeol didn't sleep much that night. It became apparent early on that ghosts didn't sleep, instead spending their time causing a ruckus and being as loud as humanly (ghostly?) possible. By the morning, Chanyeol got up with bags hanging under his eyes and shuffled over to the closet to yank the door open.

There sat Baekhyun in his stupid sweater and stupid glasses, messing with a keychain he found in the pocket of Chanyeol's dirty jeans.

"You little shit."

"I beg your pardon?"

"Get up."

Baekhyun floated over to his desk as Chanyeol went across the hall to take a quick shower. He double checked to make sure that damn peeping Tom didn't follow him in, before undressing and stepping into the tub.

Once finished, he went back to his room to find Baekhyun fiddling with his phone. He was trying to guess the password when Chanyeol yanked it out of the air and spun his swivel chair around to look the ghost in his stupid eyes.

"Alright, Baekhyun, it's time to work out this little situation of ours."

"Already? Can't we have breakfast first?"

"What? You're a ghost; you don't need to eat."

"That doesn't mean I can't." He sunk into the floor, landing in the kitchen below. Chanyeol ran down the stairs to catch up to him, keeping an eye out for his parents so they wouldn't notice the pest digging through their fridge.

"Baekhyun, this isn't your house anymore, okay? It's owned by the Park's, aka me and my family. So, you have to abide by my rules if you want to be treated as a guest here."

Baekhyun scoffed as he pried open a cup of yogurt and stuck a spoon in his mouth. "I'm sorry, who owned this house first? I've been here since the sixties. Your parents didn't show up until the eighties."

"That doesn't matter. They own it now, not you."

"Sorry, but I haven't renounced my ownership. Therefore, it's still mine."

Chanyeol bit his tongue to stop himself from cursing. How the hell was he supposed to be respectful when Baekhyun refused to cooperate?

"Baekhyun, ghosts don't own houses."

"Well, this ghost does. Bought this place when I was twenty two and she's been my baby ever since. You guys are only temporary guests here."

"This house went up for sale after you died. Meaning, it's not yours anymore."

"Lalala, I'm not listening."

"You're dead, Baekhyun. And your ownership of this house died with you. Dead people don't own property."

Baekhyun pulled the spoon out of his mouth with a frown. He sized Chanyeol up, before launching his yogurt across the room and splattering it in his face.

"You bitch!"

"This is my house. Got it?"

Chanyeol rolled his eyes. He went to grab some paper towels when his parents came downstairs in their pajamas. He quickly wiped the yogurt from his face before they noticed.

"Good morning, kiddo." His dad gave him a kiss on the head, then walked over to the coffee machine. "Did you figure out your ghost problem?"

"No. In fact, he's been nothing but a nuisance. He's trashed the house, claimed my closet as his own, and now he's throwing food at me."

His parents only laughed. "Sounds like you haven't been very nice to him."

"Why does everyone keep taking his side? I tried to be nice, but that little rat-"
