After I took my shower, Harry waited in my living room as I got dressed. My mind wouldn’t stop thinking about this “surprise” he mentioned earlier. I hated surprises; they were never good at least from past experiences. When I was younger my mom would wake me up at all hours of the night telling me she had a surprise for me. This usually meant that we were staying at one of her friends houses while my dad went on a drunken rampage accusing my mom of sleeping with other men or anything his wacked out mind would create. Just that thought of what my father was capable of sent a shiver down my spine. I didn’t want Harry getting hurt by him. I had to figure out some way of putting distance between myself and my father and I needed to figure it out quick.
“Sky” Harry yelled from the living room. “Are you almost ready?”
I shook the thought of my father from my mind. “Yes, I’m coming”
I walked into the living room and Harry was sitting on my couch in the same white t-shirt and skinny jeans he wore yesterday. I smiled to myself and sat down next to him.
“Ready to go” He asked.
I bit my bottom lip, not wanting to answer.
“Sky, it’s a surprise, I promise you’ll enjoy yourself” He spoke to the side of my face.
I nodded my head in understanding, but I couldn’t help the anxiety I felt.
“Babe, look at me” He whispered.
I turned to stare into his eyes.
“I would never do anything to hurt you, I promise.”
Just those words put me at ease. I knew he wouldn’t ever intentionally hurt me. I just needed to trust him.
“Okay, let’s go” I tried to speak with as much reassurance as I could.
He smiled and rose from the couch extending his hand to me. “Let’s go”
I have never sat in a limo before. It was quite odd coming out of my apartment to see this long shiny black limousine waiting out front. But I had to trust that Harry knew what he was doing. As the driver took off down the road he looked outside the window, watching the buildings and the people pass by.
“You know, most people take for granted that they are able to walk down the street or go to the store without a bunch of people and lights flashing in their eyes. I can’t go anywhere without a bunch of girls screaming my name or jumping all over me.”
He turned to look at me.
“Even though it can be difficult at times, I wouldn’t change it for the world. Our fans are great.”
“What will they say when they figure out that your dating someone?”
He shrugged his shoulders. “I honestly don’t know, they could be jealous or they could fall in love with you and give us one of those pet names.”
I remembered reading how the media created a pet name for Harry and Taylor.
“Yeah, didn’t they create a pet name for you and Taylor Swift? If I remember correctly they called you guys Haylor.”
Harry rolled his eyes. “You would bring that up.”
“I shrugged my shoulders. “I’m just saying” and smiled to myself.
I could feel Harry’s eyes on me, but I refused to look up.
“You have no idea how cute you are when you are being naughty. “
My smile grew into a childlike giggle.
“Sky, you have no idea how bad I want to shag you in this car right now.”
I looked up at him and shook my head. “That is so 1997 Austin Powers, Harry.”
He threw his hands in the air. “How do you know about Austin Powers but know nothing about One Direction. I’m honestly confused.”
I broke out in laughter. “You need to honestly get over yourself.”
He flicked his hand in the air. “Why would I do that, I’m Harry Styles? I’m worth every moment.”
“I can’t even relate to you right now.” I said between laughter.
Harry leaned over and kissed my cheek.
The limo pulled into a gate leading to a long circular driveway, the house that came into view was huge. I’ve never seen a house so big. The lawn was immaculate and green with large stone figurines scattered across it. As the limo pulled closer I couldn’t help but see the array of cars parked next to the house. The driver parked the limo in front of the entrance and I looked over at Harry.
He had a huge smile on his face. “I have to warn you before we go in.”
“Is this your home?” I asked before he could go any further.
“No. I own a flat in East London. This is a friend’s home that I’m staying at until some stuff blows over.”
“Some stuff” I questioned.
“Yeah, it’s nothing. Don’t worry.” He hastily said.
I bit my bottom lip. “What happens when this so called nothing blowers over? What will you do then?”
“Sky, when I asked you earlier that I wanted you to be my girl I meant it. We’ll figure out how to make this work, I’m not walking away from you.”
“Okay” I agreed.
As I turned to open the door a boy’s face came into my view, I jumped back in my seat. Harry shook his head.
“As I was trying to tell you earlier, I have some guys I want you to meet.”
“Harry, why is he staring at me?”
“It’s just Louie, ignore him.”
“Kind of hard since he keeps staring into this limo.”
“Like I said..”
“You can’t even see in here, what’s he looking for?”
“Sky, it’s nothing please listen. My band mates have stopped to see how I’m doing. They won’t be here for long and I want you to meet them.”
I shook my head. “Harry I’m not good at this, the whole people thing.”
“I understand but I need you to try for me” I could almost hear him begging.
“Okay” I conceded.
“Thank you. Let me open the door please.” He scooted pass me and opened the door, pushing Louie back unexpectedly, I couldn’t help but laugh at his childish antics.
