Today was the day I would finally get out of the hospital no one thought I had made it out alive due to the condition I was in. I walked out of the recovery ward completely healed I had survived endless torture once again. I was a bit weak from the drugs but still in business. Worry came over the squad when they heard familiar footsteps every squad member perked their heads up as I smiled the cast had been removed and I was able to walk again each member of the squad came up and hugged me even Nanaue as his fear and worry instantly left him I could feel his heartbeat beginning to slow into smooth beats as I smiled.
"Thanks for the help back there guys," I said hugging them both tight "I would have never would have survived if you all hadn't saved me," I said "We couldn't afford to risk losing you buddy," replied Peacemaker," "Please don't ever again go on a mission alone sweet pea," said Harley Quinn stern but loving I nodded in agreement it was a mistake on my part. Bloodsport patted my back smiling "Glad you're ok buddy," he said I had made a commitment on that day to never go on a mission alone as I had found that out the hard way. Ratcatcher came up and hugged me tight "I missed you," she said as Sebastian crawled on my left shoulder as I stroked him "Sebastian missed you too," she said giving out a small chuckle. I honestly missed the squad very much they were my second family Harley Quinn was like a mother to me. All the experimental abuse that made me who I am today had taken a toll on my sanity but the good thing in a way was I was both sane and insane at the same time part of that was the chemicals.
"Joselyn okay!" King Shark exclaimed as he squeezed me nearly breaking my ribs"Woah, easy Nanaue I'm recovered but not that recovered," I chuckled Nanaue loosened his grip blushing slightly. "Let's head back to base," said Bloodsport as I nodded in agreement as I got dressed in my usual 'uniform' as we walked out of the hospital my legs shaking slightly luckily, the hospital wasn't far from our base so I didn't have long to walk my eyelids suddenly felt heavy as I stumbled a bit as Polka dot man caught me I smiled. As we came back to the base, I stood against the door that was the entry to my room. "You need rest," said Bloodsport, and I couldn't help but agree with him it was true I was still recovering and was tired as I opened my door hopping into bed pulling the covers over me as Bloodsport shut my door smiling I closed my eyes Nanaue's room was next door as I could hear him getting himself situated. I chuckled as I fell asleep.
