Regret

A part of life is regret.

You mess up with a loved one, hurting them, Yelling, and maybe even running away from them. You may never regret those choices.

You may never understand why they get so upset, why they hate you afterward, why they never try to make you feel special. And you will never know why they will never forgive you. So you get angry, lash out, try to fight. You get so mad that you physically hurt them. You see tears. You see hatred in their soul.

And for the first time. They fight back. Throw punches. Hatful words. While they cry and ask. "Why do you hate me so much?"

Now you know why they hate you so much now.

After its to late. You can't apologize. You can't try to make amends. So you continue the hatful words. You continue fighting with them. You hurt them again and again.

And once the anger consumes you, when it covers you whole. When it turns you into a selfish bastard. You can't fight it. You can't overcome it. It's not worth feeling so tired.

So it continues. And once the anger unwraps you. You realize how much you've fucked up. Once you know, that truly, they still love you as their own. You know why they tried so hard. Cause they saw what started consuming you. They tried to unwrap you themselves.

So hard, they did. And once it was to late to save you. They get tired. Tired of waiting. And they give up.

Now you know.

Why they hate you.

Because truly, it wasn't anything that consumed you. It was yourself. All of it was you. Your own selfishness. Your own actions.

It was all you. Not anger. Not happiness. Not anything but selfish actions.

They know now. That you really hate them. And they don't ever try again. They don't treat you special anymore. Because you don't deserve it. Don't deserve to exist.

And finally. After all that has happened. You regret.

But it's to late.
