PIECE OF SHIT.

As they watched the rustic van pull away from the drive way, she smiled until they were out of the sight of the remaining pogues, before slapping the back of his head. Motioning away, as he quickly followed.

"The hell was that for" he groaned as his Hand cupped the back of his head with a slight irritation.

"Hm idk maybe the discretion input that my dad beats the shit outta me" she implied sarcastically watching the boy clench his jaw as her eyebrows raised with a called for glance.

"I was just trynna help V, you haven't been home in days, who knows what he"ll do to you. And besides you would have done the same for me" As much as she wanted to be mad at the boy, she understood his need to protect her, as she sighed with a calming breath, reaching for the keys that he held onto.

"Just-" she paused for a moment as her eyes softened to the gaze of the azure blue that stood in front of her. "Just stay quiet okay" handing over the keys, he gestured his hands sealing his lips, as if throwing away the key to ensure her that he wouldn't say a word.

Twisting the handle she let out a heavy sigh as the sound of the click operated, pushing the door open. Instant chills pricked at the back of her neck as her foot stepped through the broken home of the Lewis residence. The boy followed soundlessly behind her.

Clothes piled on the floor as she trailed her eyes to the pills that made themselves visible. The smell of weed lingered in the air. Glass shattered as she felt the crunch of it at the bottom of her black combat boots. She let out a breath she didn't realise she held, as she found the man responsible for her seeping darkness intoxicated and out cold, as the substance of cocaine laid bare on the table in front of his unconscious body.

"Piece of shit" her voice laced with anger as she stood there for a second to take in her father. The man she was supposed to look up to, the man that was meant to comfort her and help her become someone she could be proud of. But instead he was the type of father to bail, the type of father to make her despise the world of affection, the world of hopes and dreams, the kind of father to make her question her existence, making her scream in throbbing pain when he pressed himself against her. The kind of father that made her believe that she could never be loved, and quite frankly she believed it.

The blonde boy stopped beside her as he observed his surroundings. He gazed at her with a look of sympathy as he knew the feeling far to well. He knew better than anyone that Ivey wasn't like other people, she was far from your average teenager, but so was he. He knew both their lives were far from normal, but to them, it was all they knew. He knew if he tried to comfort the girl she would just push him away, so he continued to stand their in silence as he watched her run her fingers through her hair in a manner to calm herself down.

"V" he let out, unsure how to continue.

"Hm yeah, I'll just um-" she paused for a minute before continuing her sentence. "I'll um go get dressed" she said quickly as the boy nodded with his lips pursed out as his tongue clicked the side of his cheek.

The frame of the small girl disappeared within the corridor as he was left staring at another pathetic excuse of a father.

"She deserves so much better than you dude" with a slight chuckle he nodded, biting the inside of his mouth. As he gaze wondered around the broken house, his heart dropped to the sound of something smashing from the girls room. "Piece of shit" she screamed as the shards of her mirror scattered as slight cuts formed on her hands and legs, from throwing it on the ground. The blonde boy rushing in with concern racing to the sight of her. "Hey, hey your okay, your okay" fighting his hold she refused to let herself seek comfort in him. "Let go of me" ignoring her wishes he held her in his arms. "Shhh your okay, your okay" refusing to hug him back, she stood there in complete horror as she came to terms with the blonde boy seeing her cry. She had never been that careless with her emotions before as she was always known to be the girl with no expression.

She imbedded the numbing sensation well, as she wasn't one to talk about her family problems. But JJ was different, he was like a brother she never had. The two went way back, as their fathers had been best friends since high school, practically knowing the boy since birth. Climbing through each others windows within the night, when times got over baring. Comparing bruises as they laughed through the pain. He was there for her when her mother decided to abandon her for the wealthy company of Mr Cooper, as she was left to rot with the man she despised to call father.

Over the years, they would both lie in silence not questioning each other's patterns that imprinted their skin, which evidently spoke louder then words it's self, as he was her comfort space when the world seemed to be against her, as she was his.
