jaehyun was up to bat and renjun took a lead off first as he planned to steal second. taeyong noticed the move and decided while renjun distracted the infield, he would take home plate.

the ball got overthrown at home and renjun quickly stole second which lead the catcher to throw to second and taeyong manage to get the first point.

renjun dusted himself off as he made it on second.

"tell me. did you replace that wen dude cause damn." the shortstop smirked. "let me hit that."

"i'm sorry?" renjun turned to look at the shortstop in disbelief.

the male said nothing before walking away to his position.

this left renjun more than confused. renjun was the only player on base. coach moon, who was at third, was signaling renjun to steal.

the second basement was on renjun's tail as they knew, renjun could steal another base.

"sorry dude, our shortstop is weird. he's like that to everyone. i apologize on his behalf." the second basement said.

"um okay." renjun said confused. "do i take that as a compliment or?"

"i don't know man. just don't." he paused. "be offended." the second basement shrugged.

renjun scoffed and took a lead from second. jaehyun was up to bat and renjun decided to follow coach moon's plan to steal third.

the ball made its way towards their shortstop and renjun decided to tease the opposing shortstop in order to get jaehyun on base.

renjun was now caught in a pickle. jaehyun realized what was happening. jaehyun didn't know much about renjun and so before jaehyun was about to take off when he saw the third base coach signal to him.

"white!"

jaehyun caught the signal and ran back to first and continued to watch renjun struggle.

renjun continued to run back and forth. the good thing about renjun was full of energy, especially since it was the first inning.

renjun realized the third basement dropped the ball and saw the shortstop was occupied at second, he quickly slid to third despite the third basement trying to recover the ball.

"safe." the umpire called and the other players returned to their respective positions.

"he's one hell of a runner." the second basement chuckled to himself.

"atta boy renjun!" coach choi, who was the third base coach, gave renjun a high five at the bag.

johnny watched from the dugout and nodded in approval.

renjun realized jisung was up next after doyoung to bat and renjun needed to score now.

"how'd you pull that off shorty?"

renjun snapped out of his thoughts at the third basement and smirked.

"practice."

doyoung hit a line drive over shortstop and renjun took off.

renjun met jisung at home plate and gave him a high five before running to the dugout and grabbing his bat.
