the swordsman walked through the isle of dawn, wandering around as he decided to revisit that realm. it was quiet. not many skykids and solarians were here, making it just the swordsman himself. it felt lonely. he didn't like the silence. all could be heard was the sound of wind. the breeze touched against his face, causing his hair to flow at the direction of the wind. his sister and friend were hanging out, which he declined tagging along with the two.

"i wonder what they're up too."

he continued wandering around, searching for any signs of skykids or solarians.

"maybe some of them hadn't descend to the sky yet," he said to himself.

he sighed in defeat. was about to give up. what even was the point of coming to the isle of dawn if any skykids hadn't descend yet?

"this sucks... where could the skykids be-"

honk.

the noise caught the swordsman off guard, catching his attention. he turned back and stared at a skykid, making eye contact with it.

"finally, i'm not alone anymore." he said with relief.

he took his hand out, giving a friendly smile. the skykid tilted its head.

"no worries, i won't harm you, bud. you wanna head back to the treehoude at hidden forest with me?"

the skykid stood silent. he gently grabbed its hand and helped him through isle of dawn.

"hey! stop running off! come back! just let me help you, please!" the swordsman shouted as he chased the moth around.

chasing that skykid he was trying to help around was a pain in the ass for him.

"flying above the clouds is nice, isn't it, little buddy?" he asked.

still no response from the moth. the swordsman wondered why his moth acquaintance never talked.

"maybe i should give him some more time before he starts warming up to me." he mumbled.

the two had finally arrived at daylight prairie. they walked through the stone hill to the beginning of prairie. the swordsman took his time to admire the scenery, accidentally loosening his grasp from his skykid companion's hand. he didn't notice it walking off.

"the scenery looks lovely. don't you agree with me little budd- what the fu-"

he noticed that the moth was missing, nowhere to be seen by his side.

"goddamnit, i got distracted... again..."

he began to wander around, looking for his skykid companion.

"where could that moth run off to?"

he asked random skykids if they had seen a skykid that looks like a moth wandering around in the area.

"i saw him running off to there." a random skykid said, pointing at the moth who was still running around.

the swordsman thanked the skykid and followed the moth.

"hey! what did i say about running off without me?!"

he finally caught up with the moth and grabbed its hand.

"now come on, moth. we must carry along." said the swordsman as he took the skykid with him.

they ventured through daylight prairie, admiring the view and going to random areas. after that, the swordsman lead his moth companion to the hidden forest.

"and the hidden forest is where i decided to take shelter in an abandoned treehouse." said the swordsman, leading him through the forest's clearing and passing through the gates as they navigated through the areas.

"and it's just right there."

he pointed at a treehouse from the distance, which wasn't too far from where the two were from. birds flew by, chirping as rain was pouring down from the sky. the sunlight was nowhere to be seen, leaving the forest's sky a mix of dark turquoise and blue. the duo stopped their tracks, standing infront of a ladder.

"here, get on my shoulders, moth. i'm going to climb up there."

the skykid hopped on the swordsman shoulders.

"hang tight, buddy. make sure not to loosen your grip and fall off, got it?"

the skykid nodded as it tightly gripped on his clothing, worried that it'll fall off and get hurt. as he made his way up, he went inside the treehouse, setting the skykid down and patting its head.

"my friends will arrive later. make yourself at home. i'll make some food in case you get hungry."

silence filled the whole treehouse. it was quiet, besides the sound of raindrops from outside. the skykid decided to take a look around. a bit old, but clean. pretty decent.

he must've took his time managing to keep the treehouse clean. i wonder if he stole this treehouse and claimed it as his. wait, i just remembered. the treehouse was abandoned before he resided here. nevermind.

"the food is ready."

the skykid sat down at a seat across from an empty chair. he set the plate down on the table.

what the fuck is that.

the moth seemed confused on what kind of food that was. he couldn't really describe the texture of that food in his mind.

"eat up." said the swordsman. "i'll be gathering some things. make sure to behave while i'm gone."

the skykid wanted to say something but couldn't. all it could do was reach its arm out as it watched the swordsman leave.

do i really have to eat that? it looks fucking disgusting.

but the skykid ate it anyways.

i take that back.

"who is that?" a girl's voice spoke. a voice that the skykid wasn't familiar with. "did polaris bring a skykid to his treehouse?" another unfamiliar voice replied to the female, whose voice sounded masculine.

who the fuck are those two? where is my caretaker? god fucking damnit. please come back, i don't know these people.
