"I'm ready to head home" i said standing up and everyone nodded "does anyone need to be dropped off" i asked grabbing my bag, taking my wallet out, and putting the money on the table "No I'm fine I'll catch a ride with Archie" Betty said looking at Mary, she nodded and kissed Betty. "You coming or.." i asked Jughead and he shook his head no "I'm going to head home" i nodded and Mary and i started walking out and into the truck heading home.
The whole ride there was quiet we just wanted to get home and get into our beds well at least i know i do. "Mary where home" i said tapping her awake she nodded and fell back asleep. Sighing i got out of the truck and walked over to her side, opening the door i maneuvered myself and tapped her one last time "get on" i said before she fell back asleep and turned around. As she got on my back i stood up and closed the door with my feet. Walking to the house i had to lean forwards so i can open the door and she doesn't fall, twisting the doorknob i pushed it open the rest of the way with my feet.
As i walked in I dropped the keys on the table that's by the door and laid Mary on the couch, sighing in relief i grabbed a blanket from the closet and covered her over with it. "I'm glad you guys are still close" someone said turning around i held out my switchblade and instantly i regret not turning on the light.
As the light turned on i have to blink a few times before my eyes adjust to them. As i looked at the person that stood in front of me i jumped back. "What? What are you doing here, i thought.."
"Yeah i know what you thought thanks to your father he was always the dramatic one"
"Okay wait a minute ...let me sit down now actually I'm going to stay standing, why are you here, father told us that you left to protect us, is the threat gone?"
"Yes, he's taking care of"
"So what now" i asked as i watch my mother walk into the kitchen and look in the refrigerator "you guys have nothing to eat in here, how are you surviving?"
"We were out of town for a little bit so we decided not to buy anything but if you want i have some leftovers from pops, i could warm it up for you" i asked showing her the bag of pops that i dropped by the door when i brought Mary in "no need" she said taking the bag and sitting down at the table.
I sat down cautiously across from here "i don't bite Marilyn"
"I don't go by that anymore i go by Mel and i would appreciate it if you call me that in front of people" i said leaning back and relaxing more. "As you wish you are in fact the Serpent Queen"
"I need to talk to you about that now that you brought it up, since your back does that mean that the title falls to you"
"No it doesn't i just had that title because of your father and if your father ever come I'm going to beat his ass and before you say anything no the title doesn't go back to him either as long as you don't give your title up to anyone than it doesn't move"
"Good to hear" i said nodding and looking over at Mary still asleep on the couch "I have a question for you" my mom said and i lift my eyebrow to single for her to ask away "How well do you know Veronica Lodge"
"Is it alright if i stay here"
"Yes absolutely there are a few guest rooms up there you can pick anymore, mom this is not just our home this is also yours but we have one rule...don't bring drama to the house, if you want to start shit you keep it out there, okay?"
"Okay, god i missed Pops" she said finishing her burger and fries "people are going to flip when they see you...especially Mary" i said smiling and getting up "I'm going to head to bed, make sure you lock up" i said looking over at Mary that lightly snored on the couch and i started heading upstairs.
Opening my door i closed and locked it before i started taking off my clothes and hopping in bed, as i tried to stretch out i felt something next to me, i slowly reached my switchblade that keeps under my pillow and hopped on top of the thing holding it to what i assume is the things next, felling it moving under me i reached over and turn on my lamp next to my bed.
As my eyes adjusted to the room that was now laminated with light i looked at the person and i sighed rolling my eyes and getting off of them.
"What the fuck are you doing here?"
