I rip through the halls of my pack house, pacing relentlessly. My dominance radiates off of me in steady, overpowering waves. Something isn't right, I think to myself, agitation roaring through my body. My omegas run out of my path and up to their rooms, fearing my presence might set off their heat. They don't normally run from me but I don't have full control of my wolf right now so I don't blame them.

My betas look at each other nervously, glancing from me to the door. Everyone in the room is silent and sitting, the more submissive ones resting nervously on the ground to show more respect. My extremely dominant second in command, Ryder, squirms a little in his chair. He meets my gaze but cocks his head to the side, showing submission. I nod my head at him in acknowledgment. Ryder finally breaks the silence.

"Tare, you have to tell us what is going on." he growls, at his wits end with the tension I have created.

"I don't know.." A low growl comes out of my throat and vibrates around the room. I can feel my eyes flicker from gray to red as my wolf fights relentlessly for dominance over my body. I breathe deeply and close my eyes.

"Nova, what the Hell is going on?" I ask my wolf for the fifth time.

"MATE." she snarls at me. I gasp out loud, shocked. I lift my hand to my mouth, pure, raw emotion leaking out of me. Everyone in the room flinches as my control over my emotion's slips. My power surges through the room right along with my emotions and they all bow their heads a little lower.

Ryder fights my emotional fog and gets up, approaching me slowly.

"What is it, Alpha?" He asks, his voice soft and unchallenging.

My wolf emerges, taking control of my voice and eyes.

"Mate is close." We growl.

Ryder's eyes bulge open, shock painting his features. He puts his hand on my shoulder, squeezing reassuringly.

"Scour the woods around us." I yell, addressing the rest of mypack, "FIND MY MATE."
I mindlink the pack so everyone who wasn't in the room knows the orders. I hear the whole house evacuate within thirty seconds, paws scraping the wooden floors, eager to finally leave the stress filled pack home.

"Alpha," Ryder says, looking into my eyes nervously, "you may want to calm yourself down a little before you meet your mate. You don't want to scare them." He pauses for a moment, looking into my eyes nervously. "I won't lie to you alpha, you look like the devil herself."

I glare at him, considering his words.

"I am the devil." I say darkly, my red eyes staring down Ryder. I smirk at him and bolt full speed out the front door, changing into my huge wolf mid leap. My little mate doesn't know what's coming to them.
