It was Saturday, the day of Hermione and Draco's "date", and Hermione was in the middle of the biggest crisis she's ever had in her life.
She had absolutely no idea what to wear.
She's never had this problem before. She always had something to wear, but suddenly everything in her closet seemed inadequate She had to think of something quick, her date with Draco started in 30 minutes!
"Uhhh, Hermione? Do you need some help?"
Hermione jumped, surprised by the voice coming from the doorway.
"Ginny! You startled me!" Hermione exclaimed
"Sorry Hermione, I was just walking by and I thought you might need some help."
Hermione thought about that for a minute. She didn't know how Ginny would react if she told her that she was going out with Draco. She might never speak to her again! But on the other hand she had absolutely no idea what to wear.
"Yeah, I think I do need some help Ginny. You see I have this date I need to get ready for and-"
"Say no more Hermione, I'm on it!" and with that Ginny sat Hermione on her bed and started to rummage through her wardrobe. After about 5 minutes of Ginny mumbling about how Hermione had no date appropriate clothes, she finally emerged from the wardrobe with a pair of skinny jeans, and a dressy black shirt.
Ginny threw the clothes at Hermione, "Change," she ordered, "While I think about what to do with your hair."
Hermione quickly changed into the clothes Ginny had picked out for her, then went to her wardrobe and picked out a pair of simple black flats. She then walked over to where Ginny was waiting for her and sat down in front of a mirror for Ginny to do her hair.
After a mere 20 minutes Ginny had successfully managed to not only tame the wild mess of Hermione's caramel colored hair, but got them to fall into soft curls, that fell down her back. With a bit of makeup and a pair of pearl earrings, Ginny finally deemed Hermione suitable to go on her date.
"Thanks Ginny, I really owe you one!" Hermione said as she examined her appearance in the mirror.
"No problem 'Mione! I'm always happy to help out a friend" Ginny exclaimed with a smile. "Oh!" she said, "I never asked who the lucky man was!" she exclaimed.
Hermione glanced over at Ginny nervously. "It's kind of a long story..." she said and then proceeded to tell Ginny about her and Malfoy's plan for revenge. When Hermione was done Ginny just nodded.
"I know exactly how clueless my brother can be sometimes Hermione, but don't worry. With this plan I'm sure you'll get what you want, one way or another." she said, giving Hermione a knowing look.
"Okay, thanks for your support Gin!" Hermione said. Then, she raced down the stairs and out the portrait hole. 'What was with that look that Ginny gave me.' she wondered as she raced through the corridors of Hogwarts. 'It was almost like she knew something that I didn't...'
