The building was incredibly quiet when Henry walked in, but he didn't notice. As radiant as the sun, he was overflowing with joy. Feeling confident as ever, in his mind nothing could go wrong.
"Cavill, you're smiling awfully bright today." Lilly said crossing paths with him as he entered the floor. "Did something happen?" She asked with curiosity. She had never seen him glow like that before. It was a nice look on him. Henry simply shrugged, pretending to not understand what she meant.
The floor's environment was quite different from his own. One could feel the tension in the air. Even Jones seemed worried. Sonia was running around making sure everything was ready for the meeting.
"Morning, Jones." Henry greeted approaching his desk. "Has Y/N arrived yet?" He asked.
"Yes, she has." He replied. "I believe she's in her office..."
'Thank you', he said before walking in said direction. He was nervous. He felt like a teenager going to talk to his crush for the first time. He needed to see her. And even tough they had been together a couple hours ago, he missed her.
"Already immersed in papers?" He asked standing under the threshold.
"Guilty." She said surprised by his comment, putting the papers away and standing up. "You're early..." She commented walking around her desk and leaning against it.
"I wanted to see you." He told her.
"You did? What for?" She asked.
"To do this..." He replied, cupping her head between his hands and planting a kiss on her lips. "I missed you." He whispered on her lips.
"You saw me less than eight hours ago." Y/N chuckled.
"Your point?" He asked taking a step back and crossing his arms over his chest.
"Sorry to interrupt," Sonia said standing at the door, clearing her throat. "The conference room in ready. Mr. Richards is already waiting there."
"Thanks." She said, standing straight and fixing her clothes. "We'll be there in a second..." She told her.
"Who's Rcihards?" Henry questioned, with confusion.
"Kevin." She answered. "The attorney? The one you were sypposed to met but didn't?" She said and he nodded remembering.
"Are you ready?" He asked.
"I don't know." She replied with a sigh.

There were six people at the conference room that morning. The three of them plus Jones, and Patton with his lawyer. The wooden table, originally designed for twelve, felt much smaller. The whole room seemed to have shrink. Was the temperature always this overwhelming? Or was it Patton's attitude?
"Good morning everyone!" Were the first words he had pronounced in a disgustingly cheerful tone. He seemed overly happy. Walking like he owned the room. His lawyer had started the meeting and now he had taken the stand.
"So, have you thought about my proposal?" Patton asked, making Y/N subtly roll her eyes.
"We have." Henry answered taking the word.
"And..?" He asked, eager to know the answer.
"We won't take it." Y/N replied in a neutral tone.
"What now?" Stewart said, placing both hands on top of the table and leaning his head in their direction as if to hear them better. He seemed bothered.
