Calum had been telling me that he was worried about Luke. And I was too.
He was acting different and I wasn't sure if it was because of what happened between me and him or just something that happened recently but all of us were pretty worried about him.
Me, Calum, Michael, and Ash all decided that I would talk to him. I was unwilling at first but I eventually agreed to the plan.
I walked across the hallway to the room that Luke was staying in and knocked softly.
Luke opened the door after a few moments of shuffling around. He look down at me with dull eyes. I wondered what was happening to him but I guess I was about to find out.
"Hey, uh, Luke," I stammered.
He stood aside so that I could come in, and shut the door behind me. I walked to the nearest couch and sat down awkwardly. He took a seat on the opposite couch and kept his gaze on his feet.
"What happened to you?" I asked after a long while of awkward silence.
He finally looked up from his feet and his gaze landed on me. He pondered on my question for a moment before opening his mouth to speak, "you."
I knew what that meant, and I knew that it was worse than what I was seeing on the outside.
That simple word ran deeper that you could imagine.
"Oh."
I couldn't think of anything else to say. In a way, I already knew that it had to do with me, but hearing him say it out loud was a whole new level.
"Don't try to fix this. Just stay with Cal. I don't want you to come back to me just because you feel bad," His words seemed oddly empty. Like he was there, but he wasn't. If that makes any sense at all.
"I'll take your word for it, Luke. But I do feel bad for this."
He nodded, "I know you do."
I stood up and walked towards the door. I took one last glance at him before I turned the knob and walked back to my hotel room.
I unlocked it with the key and walked inside, ready to explain what was happening with Luke.
All of the boys that were in the hotel room looked up at me.
"So what happened?" Cal asked.
I sighed and sat down, "He said it was because of me, which is understandable."
They hummed at the same time in response. I guess they didn't know what to say to that.
