Maya's pov:
Today was the last day of tryouts for both Lucas and I. The way our sports teams work is they give you a letter to see if you have made one of the team. if you did the next day there is a meeting and that's where you get all of your information.
I am standing by the dug out. I don't know why I am so scared I made the team last year. maybe I am just scared that me and Lucas wouldn't make the team. or one will and the other won't.
"Maya hart" said the main coach
I walk up to the play they hand me a letter. I go back to the dugout grab my stuff and start walking over to the baseball field.
Lucas and I promised each other's that we would opened the letters until we are in his car. there is nothing for us to worry about,we are both juniors in high school. most junior who tryouts make a team.
I slowly walk over to the baseball field. I am covers in dirt, from trying out and catcher and sliding all practice pretty much I have the whole field on my pants.
The baseball team is still doing there thing. I see Lucas's car and put my bag in it. I take my unopened letter and fold it up and place it in my back pocket.
I see Farkle in the bleachers and Riley is walking up to him. Riley was going to come to my tryouts but I get so scared when people watch me tryout I told her no. I walk up the bleachers slipping because of my Converse. I show Riley and Farkle the letter and we just wait. Hopping for the best.
