After being released from WWE, after 20 years, Y2J came back to New Japan Pro Wrestling, challenging Kenny Omega for Intercontinental Championship in New Japan Professional Wrestling, making his debut, as a Heel, attacking Kenny Omega and Ringside Guys, and beating Kenny Omega up till he bled hard, NJPW Announced that Jericho vs Omega will be No DQ Fight and Jericho agreed and started another feud for World Heavyweight Championship later on challenging Tetsuya Naito later on.

Press Confrence was called and Chris Jericho planned to demolish Kenny Omega and Kenny Omega said he will destroy Jericho no matter how many times he tries and Jericho mentioned a Best Of Five instead and Omega accepted, Chris Jericho had Backup too :- Jake Hager and Kevin Steam and Matt Tavern to counter Hangman Page, Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson or Marty Scrull and Tahiri Ishimori.

Chris Jericho made The Inner Circle and called Omega to a full on brawl, Omega defeated Dalton Castle and became InterContinental Champion again, Jericho attacked him down with a Steel Chair, and made him bleed, Marty Scrull and Hangman Page attacked but Jake Hager and Kevin Steam saved him, Tajiri Ishimori attacked but Matt Tavern saved it down and threw him down the lane and ring too.

Kenny Omega and Cody Rhodes and Jay White and Prince Devitt split down and Devitt took Styles with Bad Luck Fale and Tama Tonga and Tangua Roa causing Cody Rhodes to retire whereas Jay White went ot All Elite Wrestling and Kenny Omega took in Young Bucks, Hangman Page, Adam Cole and Marty Scrull, The Bucks called out for Junior Tag Team Gold and ended up all winning golds as :-
1. Omega - IC Champion
2. Bucks - Junior Tag
3. Page and Cole - Tag Team
4. Scrull - Open Champ

The Inner Circle defeated 9 other trois to call out Briscoe Brothers and Brother Ray for Trios Championship of NJPW, Brother Ray with Brother Devon and Brother Stevie (Stevie Richards) against Briscoe Brothers and Austin Aries against Tama Tonga Tangua Roa and Bad Luck Fale against Jake Hager and Chris Jericho and Kevin Steam happened in a four rounds elimination and Dudley Boyz ended up winning Devon held Trios Titles with Tommy Dreamer and Spike Dudley in the past too.

Jake Hager, Kevin Steam and Matt Tavern won the Ring Of Honor and New Japan Pro Wrestling Trios Championships, by beating down Dudley Boyz, The Kingdom and Bullet Club ROH, and NO DQ was on.

Chris Jericho and Kenny Omega fought in a match of grudge that lasted about 60 Mintues, Jericho gave Lion Tamer, on Omega, and tried to break his legs too, Omega tried snapping his neck and strangling him down as well, in the end Omega was there in a Walls Of Jericho and he tapped out, Chris Jericho is the new and 10 times InterContinental Champion of New Japan Pro Wrestling and turned Fan Favourite and shook hands but Omega demanded a Rematch and he agreed in a Tables Matchup.

Inner Circle and Team Omega battled in a Hardcore Match Up and Jake Hager pinned Hangman Page and Hangman Page had to quit NJPW and Hangman Page joined Mexican Promotions instead, Adam Cole went with Rodrick Strong and Matt Hardy to join The Kingdom and Mike Benett was there, Jericho and Omega had more tensions and they went to face in a Tables Match where Jericho kicked Omega on a Table and jumped but Omega sidestepped and Jericho got hurt, Omega took him up, and railed him down through a table winning the match again, calling for a Submission Match later on and a Shoot Fight for Match 4 or Fight 4.

Jericho accepted and in ROH went to full blown war with Kenny Omega and knocked him out and made him out cold by Guillotine and Darce Chocks, Omega lost and Jericho called a Ladder Match, Omega ended up winning that, breaking Jerichos legs and called a Shoot Fight.

Jericho with Sticks beat Omega down and send him down on a Table and Code Breakers later Omega was down and out cold, but since that became a NC and a No Holds Barred went Draw, and finally Chris Jericho wanted to End it in a Caged War Game.

Finally at New Year's the war came to an end after Chris Jericho pinned Kenny Omega by Code Breaking him through a Table at top of the cages and winning it, Kenny Omega shook hands, and walked away, Jericho lost the title, a year later to Evil of Los Ignorable De Japon Stable.

Chris Jericho defeated Evil in a Non Title earning it and winning it in a Ladder Match, losing it to Naito, defeating Naito and losing it back in a four way to Cody Rhodes, but Jericho entered a bracket to become Heavyweight Champion.

Jericho also defeated Balor in one night to become Heavyweight Champion, and called out Naito and Evil, next day Evil and Naito are defeated by a Villainous Jericho when Evil tapped only for Naito to save him, and in a Caged Fight they agreed.

Jericho defeated Evil, Cody and Naito three fights, Sanada became Lightheavyweight Champion, he had been a Trios Champion with Evil and Bushi, now he won Openweight Championship too and called Jericho out to a brawl, brawling all day long, coming out on top, beating Inner Circle Members too after that round.

Sanada won a 30 Way Battle Royale, Calling out Kenny Omega and defeating him down as well, The Great Muta was his mentor after all, Sanada pulled the win against Kenny Omega and shook hands with him, defeated Eddie Edwards and Davey Richards and finally called out Chris Jericho in a Loser Leaves Match and in Ten Mintues ok Seconds defeated him to become IGWP Champion, Jericho and Sanada shook hands ending all rivalry and walking back as a Fan Favourite back to ROH ok to TNA or Total Non-Stop Action.
