*Nighttime*

-Taehyung's POV-

The shopping spree took us longer than I anticipated; however, I believed both of us had a great time. We bought things for us and the hyungs, but also some gifts for the girls. At this point, I distinguish Moyeon's taste pretty well, so I told Jungkook to get something for my sister instead of me. Even though we are family, nowadays, I don't know her as well as Jungkook does; that's why I asked him to help me out. Yet, he didn't take my request as I hoped for; he got somewhat annoyed. But he still allowed it. I didn't say anything at the moment since I wanted to enjoy our time at the mall, but Jungkook's odd behavior made me feel concerned.

Currently, we are back in the hotel room. Both of us are exhausted after a long day of shopping, so I told Jungkook to take a bath to relax, but he didn't listen to me. Instead, he ordered a bottle of wine from the reception, which quickly arrived at the room after a few minutes. As for now, I'm drying my hair with the towel since I showered, but when I came out, I saw Jungkook already stoned.

-Jungkook, you are already half bottle away from finishing it. – I pointed out, but Jungkook only shrugged his shoulders as he continued to drink. Shortly, I placed the towel on my shoulder and approached Jungkook. -Why are you behaving this way? Huh? I thought we were having a great time. – I spoke while sitting next to him on the bed.

-I can't stand when you talk with Moyeon for a long time; you even picked out her gift. – Jungkook complained, evidently drunk.

-You have to be kidding me. – I sighed before looking away from Jungkook, not believing what put him in this state. -Jungkook, we are only friends, and she's also your best friend; have you forgotten about that? – I annoyedly questioned.

-And that's supposed to calm me down? I'm serious with this, Taehyung. But here, let's drink together because you also got jealous this morning. – Jungkook said as he tried to stand up, but I held his arm, not letting him go away. But he pushed me away and got towards the table. He grabbed the two cups of glass and filled them with wine. Then, he returned to my side and gave me the wine. -Let's toast for our shitty day in New York! – Jungkook raised his drink and consumed it in a shot. But I didn't even taste the wine; I only placed it on the bedside table and looked at Jungkook.

-No, stop it. I already apologized to you because I noticed how to hurt you were after my words, but you can't do the same with me, Jungkook. – I claimed, making Jungkook glance at me, upset.

-Why can't I? Do I have to remind you how we pushed each other way? I wanted you to be with Moyeon, and you wished for Yoongi to return with me. – Jungkook sternly mentioned.

-You are saying nonsense. Why do you bring that up again, huh? – I questioned, confused. Then, I got closer to Jungkook, attempting to take the bottle off his hands, but he refused to cooperate. -Jeon Jungkook, give me the bottle. – I demanded.

-What if I don't give it to you? Huh? Are you going to break up with me just like Yoongi did? – Jungkook mournfully questioned, causing me to stare at him, stunned. Shortly, Jungkook drank more from the bottle before looking down to the floor.

Is he still insecure about us? Why?

-Jungkook, I won't leave you; I thought we made that clear this morning. – I pointed out, but Jungkook didn't listen to me.

-What if I told you that Moyeon had feelings for you? Would you leave me that way? – Jungkook asked as my eyes grew after hearing his words.

-You are lying to me, aren't you? – I questioned, not wanting to believe in Jungkook's words.

-I wish I was. – Jungkook replied as he continued to drink. -My efforts to make you stay together worked, but now you are with me, so I let my friend suffer for nothing. But it looks like she wants to fight and get you. – Jungkook disclosed as I still wasn't believing what he said.

-But why didn't Moyeon tell me before? – I asked, confused.

-Moyeon is my best friend; she knew I had feelings for you; therefore, she didn't make a move due to her loyalty to me. – Jungkook explained.

-You know, it's pathetic how you get jealous for something you acknowledge can never happen. You already said it, Jungkook; Moyeon is loyal to you, so why do you feel like she's your competition? – I confusedly questioned while looking at Jungkook.

Jungkook scoffed at my words before standing up from the bed, shortly walking to the balcony's door to look at the city lights.

-I ask you the same question, Taehyung. Why do you feel like Yoongi is your competition when you know my story with him? Isn't it the same? – Jungkook inquired before looking back at me, upset. -Is it wrong to feel jealous? Can't I express how irritated I feel when someone has the nerve to text you for the entire day? You even picked Moyeon's gift! – Jungkook frustratedly said, his voice cracking between words.

-Jungkook, it's just a gift and some texts; why are you making a fuss about it? – I questioned, upset.

-Taehyung, it was just a question; why did you have to suggest that I was jealous because Yoongi was with Hobi-hyung? Why? – Jungkook asked back, using similar words to mine, wanting to get into my last nerve.

-We already talked about it, Jungkook. – I sighed, becoming frustrated at my boyfriend's words. -And I asked you something first, so for basic respect, you must answer before I do. – I sternly spoke while closing my eyes.

Jungkook mournfully chuckled. – Basic respect? Then, answer before me, Taehyung. You were the first one to get jealous. Now, answer me why did you believe I wanted Yoongi back? He left me because I couldn't give him what he wanted; I wasn't worth it to him. – Jungkook raised his voice, causing me to glance back at him, shortly realizing the tears on his eyes. I stared at him, stunned, not knowing what to say after hearing him out.

What is he saying? Did Yoongi-hyung break up with Jungkook due to his jealousness? No, but how?

-Now, you wonder why I never talked about it, aren't you? Perhaps you don't even care. – Jungkook said before drinking more.

-I'm not Yoongi-hyung, Jungkook. Whatever happened between you two, it's now in the past; it shouldn't take away your happiness this way. – I pointed out, trying to sort out this situation.

Jungkook didn't answer; instead, he looked away while he continued to tear up. My heart immediately sank while witnessing how Jungkook's hurting; after all, I believe part of it is my fault.

Jungkook took care of me after Jodie returned with Jimin, but no one looked after him. He stood in the hyung's position only to make sure I was doing well back then. But he must understand that he's the youngest one, and I must keep him safe and happy.
