Late in the Second Age, the Last Alliance of Elves and Men marched against the fortress of Sauron, Barad-dûr, in Mordor. Against all hope, they were victorious, but the evil One Ring was not destroyed. After The War of the Last Alliance, the countries of men, elves, and dwarves were broken. The dwarves hid in their mountain, in the kingdoms of stone. The weakness of men continued to grow as a mysterious influence corrupted every heir to the throne. Many elves of middle-earth took the journey to Valinor where the Elves were better living off near the Valar, far from the mortal lands on Men.
There is where the tale of the Mordorien begins. A Ranger, whose origin is unknown to all but a few souls, and whose whereabouts have been heard all around middle-earth, from the far corners of the Shire, to the Misty Mountains, down to the lands of Gondor, and most recently... into Mordor.
The People of Men suspect that this Ranger is nothing but trouble. Most rangers are no good to begin with, but the Mordorien was different to the people. They thought that to dwell near such an dark and evil place, that the Mordorien must be dark as well.
After the eruption of Mount Doom in Mordor, a Darkness was brewing behind the Black Gate for years. The Mordorien finally took the journey to Minas Tirith in the lands of Gondor, with the intent to prepare for war once again.
Here, another Ranger, by the name of Thorongil, came under word from King Thengel of Rohan. The twenty-fifth Ruling Steward of Gondor, Ecthelion II, grew suspicious of the two Rangers appearing around the same time to Minas Tirith, and was even more on edge when he learned about The Mordorien in his presence. With tension not broken between the people and the Mordorien, Ecthelion II loathed the help but nonetheless they began their onslaught against the dark forces of Sauron and his accomplices.
But there was tension between the two. Thorongil was opposed of the Mordorien, not keen to the title and thought no good from them. Whereas the Mordorien learned who Throrongil really was and played it against him. There was a bitterness that stuck between them for the years to come.
Throughout the bitterness, a strange bond formed. One that was imperfect, also unbelievable, and possibly forbidden. They grow to know each other, and learn every secret that they have both tried so hard to keep in the past. Eventually, what started out with hatred became a feeling of mutual understanding, regard, and... something more, like... love.
