Entry # 6- Comfort

"Wanna grab sovieners?" A hot air just blown on my ear. A looked at the figure standing beside my bed.

Argh. Its her again. I wanna sleep. I turned to the other side of the bed so she can't reach me.

"Nope."

"Come on! It's not that far!" She intentionally jumps  on my bed! What the-!

"Arghh! Don't disturb me!" I cuddle with my blanket and hid my face and ears from her. I know how persistent this woman is! I need to get away from her someday.

"Ah! Give me back my blanket!" How dare you get my blanket away from me! I stod up pulling the end of the fabric.

"Please, please ,please~~ pretty please?" She tug the other side, making us feel like we're playing tugs.

"Your not a child anymore, so why need of those?" I let go of the blanket making her butt hit the floor.

"Ouch!" She massages her butt while I grinned widely. You deserve that you-! Ah, nevermind. I got my slippers on making my way to the bathroom. When I got back, she still insist on going with me.

"It's a remembrance! Not a toy. Seriously, you don't no about sovieners?" She keeps following me. I didn't mind her and got back to bed. This is my paradise here on earth. Damn it.

"Don't know, don't care."

"Atleast acompany me then."

"..."

"..."

*sigh* "Okay." Soooo anoyingggg!!

"Yes! Now get up and get dress! We'll have shopping to do!" She leaped in surprise making some of my plastic  vases fall on the floor. She put on her jacket and readed herself to get out of my room. Hurry up and get out!

"So annoying." I blurt out. I got up again.

"What did you say?" Her head just popped up on my door. I hope she didn't heard that.

"Nothing. Just get out of my room." I looked away, focusing my attention to other stuffs.

"I know you can't resist me!" She smiled widely making me sigh again.

"Yeah, yeah. Get out." I motioned my hand to shoo her out.

"Aye aye captian!" She salute. I heard her giggles echoing on the hallway.

"Well, get you ass up self and get dress." I mumbled to myself. "This might be a long day."

"Let's get in there!"

"No."

"Come on~~"

"..."

"Pleaseee?"

"Yeah, yeah. Stop pulling me! I know how to walk. Sheeshh"

We are on the last store. I have a bad feeling but I choose to ignore it. Something's telling me that we shouldn't go there but this lady here's already pulling me in. Now I don't have time to complain.

"I'll stand here. Go choose for yourself."

She keeps skipping while choosing what to buy, carrying a yellow basket on her left arm. I just watch her from the outside. I alerted myself if somethings gonna happen but until she got on the counter, nothing  happened.

"Look what I bought!" She handed me a bag full of candies and mints.

"What are these for?" I check the contents but it's all the same: all candies and mints. What got into her mind?

"Whacha think?"

"Im not asking if I already know the answer 'lady'."

She stop giggling, then her face suddenly turn to serious. What's up now?!

"Candies for your bitterness and mints for your hotheadedness."

A long silence felt the air.

"I-"

*bang!*

*bang!*

Two gun shots were heard, people from the inside of the store are running. I heard sirens and the shouting guard from afar. I looked around but my eyes are blurry.

A warm hand touched mine. She said something but I can't figure out what she says. I scanned her and notice a red liquid forming a weird spot on her sides. I reach for it but it feels like I can't move even an inch. Suddenly, I cough blood and my vision's gone as I close my eyes.

*thud*

I felt the cold cemented floor on my side. I just realized now. The shots are for me and my companion. I opened my eyes and caught her eyes looking on mine. She's also lying with me, still holding my hand.

I couldn't come up with any words beside...

"You'll live." I don't know why but that's the thing Im mumbling now.

Then everything went black.

I wake up on a grassy hill. A man with a toxedo came to me when I lean my head on my side. I just found myself walking ahead with him . I try to remember his face but I can't.

We headed to the top of the hill. A little hut was sitting there. The man motioned me to get in so I followed.

There's someone there but I think it's not human, I dont know why I figured that but my guts telling me so. It just followed what I've been doing until I reach the center of the hut. Everything's very blurry that I choose to only stare at the paper in front of me.

'Is this a dream?'

'What am I doing here?'

My hand move on it's own and starts to scrabble something on the paper. I wanted to see what Im writing but I can't picture a thing!

Then a memory just cross my mind. A girl lying, holding my hand. She looks like she wants to go with me but I pushed her back saying the same words again and again.

"You'll live."

Then suddenly, the surrounding just changed into another setting. The girl in my memory is standing in front of me. We are on the side of the hill to we're I once laid, waking up.

"Let me go with you."

"Don't. You don't belong here."

"But-"

"Im dead."

"You arent!"

"I am, and Im okay here. So, just go back." I said in full of conviction."You still have a life to live so, forget about me. Im comfortable here. Just leave me be."

I can't read her expression. It's a mixture of happiness, sadness, worry and disgust.

She walk away. Leaving me behind.  I just watch her back as she slowly disappears. Then a light enveloped her, making me cover my eyes.

I heard the siren from an ambulance and people mumbling for some kind of emergency.

"She's still breathing! Hurry! Ready the stretchers!" A man leaned on my side.

"Tsk! We're late!" He announced.

"This one's a goner. Time of death : 6:05 pm. Cause of death : Fatal shot right through the heart."

Author's Note:

Kind of fuzzy but we have dreams we can't remember all the detail.

Yes, it's my dream last monday night. I thought I was really dead though hahaha! In fact, I just added the first scenes like the 'get-up' thingy but the last ones are the ones that really happened.

The girl in my dreams? I can't remember her. It's just that I think, we are really close to each other. The place I've landed on after I got 'shot' was a very calm and a comfortable place for me. I wanted to stay there. Do you know what that means?
