𝐀𝐧 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐫 | 𝟑𝟑

'They're just to the right of us', I called out as a black flare signalled from the right side of Eren and I.

'We're about to reach the forest', Petra spoke out, 'Only the central line going to go in'.

'Why is that?', I asked, curious.

'Dont worry F/N, just know we're going through', she replied, not giving me an answer.

The right side had suffered heavy losses, so it's likely that only a few people are left. I pray with every bone in my body that Armin is one one them.

'Armin will be okay', I assured Eren for both of our sakes, we both needed it.

'He will', He replied.

Another 5 minutes of riding and we had reached the forest, I could see the trees that blocked the natural light from entering, they stood tall, and only our line was to enter.

Why though?

'The forest is the ideal environment for the use of the three dimensional manouvering gear, but still, keep alert', Levi spoke out to all of us as we entered.

'I feel like we need to understand what we're running into more', Eren commented, on my behalf too, but we were quickly shut down and just told to focus.

'Keep looking forward for now', Oluo commanded.

I peered around, able to see everyone's face except Levi's.

Oluo.

Petra.

Eld.

Gunther.

Everyone looked clueless, worried, confused.

'They seem to be on the same page as us', I spoke quietly across the horses to Eren, to which he took a look and realised too.

'A black flare!', Eren shouted, alerting everyone as we continued to pick up the pace in the dark forest.

'Draw your blades', Levi's voice entered my ears as I pulled the metal pieces out of their slots.

Heavy thumping entered my brain from behind me, the sound being perceived as some sort of earthquake in my brain.

'Oh...My...', I mumbled as my head turned back to see a titan, a female titan running towards us at an extremely fast pace.

'What the hell is that!', Oluo shouted as our horses sped up, and fast.

'Go faster!', Captain Levi ordered from all of us, we were breathing for our lives and so were our horses as we hurried along.

'She's catching us!', I worried, her big, muscular form edging closer to us by the second, before her hand reached out, narrowly missing Eren's face.

'Eren!', I called out as his head snapped to mine, 'Focus!', I worried for him, he seemed to be distracted slightly.

'She's killing everyone', Petra observed, I looked behind as Luna rode us ahead to see this female titan smashing all of our recruits into trees left right and centre.

At this point my heart was racing, what's going to happen? We were fine five minutes ago, at least we as the centre line were...
