LIMASSOL DISTRICT CYPRUS..
"Captain, what in the world are you still doing in bed? You need to get up right now!" Faisal exclaimed, time isn't on our side, you know that.""You know I'm not a morning person. It's too early."Abdulhameed mumbled, pulling the blankets up to his chin.
"We have a 12-hour, 26-minute flight to New York, and you're lying here, sleeping like a log! Come on, get up!"Faisal's frustration boiled over.
He sighed, dragging himself out of bed. "Sorry, let me take a quick bath," he mumbled , rushing to get ready.
He took a swift bath and slipped into his uniform, preparing for the long flight ahead.
As they both walked out to the airport.."settled in the plane.." not before calling his mom while she prayed for him.."
7:00pm dot.."
"Flight attendants, prepare for take-off please."
"Cabin crew, please take your seats for take-off."he stated as they were about to start the journey to New York..""Within a minute after take-off, an announcement has been made reminding passengers to keep their seat belts fastened.
"Ladies and gentlemen, the Captain has turned off the Fasten Seat Belt sign, and you may now move around the cabin.

They landed around 7:30 pm at John F. Kennedy International Airport New york
As soon as he turned on his phone, his mom's call came in, and she breathed a sigh of relief upon hearing they had landed safely.
After landing, they hailed a taxi that dropped them off at the Trump International Hotel & Tower New York.
I'm exhausted," Faisal exclaimed, stretching his arms.
"Let's pray first," Abdulhameed murmured , removing his shirt as he headed to the bathroom to freshen up and perform his ablutions.
Following their prayers, they both succumbed to exhausted and fell asleep. Later, around 11 pm, they woke up, grabbed a quick bite, and flew back to Cyprus.
They arrived back in Cyprus around 11 am the next morning. He's so tired that he dozed off in the taxi. The trip had taken a toll on him, especially since he wasn't fond of eating. As they arrived, his head was pounding with a severe headache. He is reluctant to visit the hospital or take any medication, preferring to tough it out.
Captain Abdulhameed and Faisal woke up to the sound of the adhan, signaling the time for Zuhr prayer. Groggily, they got ready and headed to the mosque.
After prayers, they proceeded to meet their Training Captain (TC) at the airline, as planned. Abdulhameed was still struggling with his headache, but he brushed it off.
"Captain, are you sure you're okay? You need to go to the hospital," the faisal expressed.
"I know it will pass; it's just a headache. Don't worry, we need to focus on our request."
The TC is unwilling to grant them a month's leave. They exchanged disappointed glances. They had been away from their families for four long years and were eager to reunite with them.
"Now what should we do?"Faisal whispered to Abdulhameed.
Abdulhameed's determination kicked in. "I'm going back home," he said resolutely. "I don't care if he lets us take time off or not. Let's go."
They made a plan to go back to Nigeria, even if it meant squeezing in a week long visit. They would do whatever it take to see their families again.
When they returned to their apartment, they started to pack their clothes. It felt strange to be going home after so long, and they were filled with a mix of emotions. Abdulhameed couldn't help but notice that his parents hadn't called him all day. He tried to shake off the thought and focus on packing.
Man ", please close your mouth,"hameed said, exasperated.
Faisal is talking nonstop, and it's getting on Abdulhameed's nerves. "You just don't understand how much I'm looking forward to seeing my mom."
After they finished packing, they ordered a pizza. Abdulhameed only ate two slices, as he's feeling nervous about going home.
"Thank goodness you're going back home. Your mom will force you to eat!"
Abdulhameed chuckled as he dialed his dad's number. "He'll be back today, no matter the time," but he's leaving this country today."
His dad agreed, and Abdulhameed asked him to keep his return a secret from his mom. "I want to surprise her," he said with a smile.
After hanging up, he showered, changed into a black jeans and white polo long sleeve, and slipped on his black Blundstone shoes. He topped off his outfit with a p-cap and shades, finishing it off with a spritz of perfume.
At 5:00 pm, they boarded a private jet bound for Nigeria. Four hours later, they landed at Murtala Muhammad Airport in Lagos.
As they stepped off the plane, Abdulhameed and Faisal shared a bro hug before parting ways. Faisal followed the car sent by his father , while Abdulhameed walked towards his car , glancing at his wristwatch.
"Welcome back home, sir," the security men said, smiling.
He returned their smiles, and he opened the car door for him. He slid into the car, feeling a sense of relief and excitement to be back home.
