When Love Lasts

Chapter 3

When I got home I alighted the car and stood under the blazing sun. It's quite hot today,I said a small thank you to Mal.sani and went into the house.

As I entered the strong scent of bakhoor hit me and I saw Mami setting the dining and went to go help her .
"Mamiiii "I said in a high pitched voice and went to go hug her.
Then she hit my head.
"Ow  Mami what was that for" I looked at her with a slight pout.
"You're 22yrs old but yet you still act like a child" she  said smiling at me and shaking her head .
"Anyway go freshen up and come for lunch "with that I left to my room.

I sat down on my queen sized bed and decided to call ya j.j it's been a while, I face timed him using my iPad.

N:"ya j.j " I said smiling at him

J:"hey munchkin how you doing "

N:"I'm fine and  you how are you"

J:"I'm good as you can see I'm not in the hospital am I "he said with a sarcastic expression.

N:"oh come on" I said rolling my eyes.

N:"anyway when are you coming back I miss our late night episodes ".I looked at him with a mischievous glint in my eyes .

J:"in a week insha Allah,greet Mami ,abi and my favorite sibling for me ".

N:"and who's you're favorite,just to clarify I'm everyone's favorite " I said chuckling.

N:"I will insha Allah,bye "

J:" bye ".
      Well that's my brother for you.I quickly freshened up and went for lunch,as I was going I met abi on the way.
"Hey princess ya kike "
"I'm fine " I said giving him a side hug.
"how's Jadwa" he inquired.
"She's doing well Alhamdulillah ".we arrived at the dining and met ali & Mami.

Today's lunch looks appetizing it's confetti rice with some chicken drumsticks.
"Ali how was school today"
"It was quite funny something happened today "
"And what's that" Mami asked

"Well some primary six students came and dropped a carton of caprison in our class , then they left without saying anything and some days back we were promised a carton by our head teacher so we thought it was ours, after school we told the class captain to share it then we all took. Our class teacher later came then she called us and started shouting at us , that who told us to carry it did we ask anyone she's telling us she can't trust us again blah blah blah .at the end of the it was actually ours."he finished with a grin on his face .

I laughed and I was like "if she had said to return them and I hadn't taken mine ,I honestly wouldn't have given her I would have hidden it se de ta zo ta cire da ga ciki na ".
"Ay dama tinda ke se rashin ji bakya da kunya "( ehen now since you your stubborn you don't have shame ) Mami said .

Abi just sat down looking at us with a smile on his face , in his eyes were everything to him his life, his world he'd do anything to keep us happy.
