Chapter 40

Ella's POV

I here movement downstairs. It sounds like it's coming from the kitchen. I look at my phone. God it's early. Who would be up at 1:35 in the morning?

I get up and put my pink house coat over top of my pjs. I walk downstairs and see a light peering out from under the kitchen door. I almost don't want to go in because it reminds me of the dream I had a little while back. I walk to the door and open it slowly and see a very drunk Jordan.

"Oh Ella, what a nice surprise." He slurs.

"What the hell are you doing here?" I ask and he walks closer to me so I back up.

"I came to visit you. You're a very pretty girl you know." He replies and reaches out for my arm but I smack his hand away from me.

"If you don't leave now I'll-I'll call the police!" I state.

"No you won't!" He exclaims and grabs for me.

"Help!" I shout hopping someone will hear me.

"She up you little slut!" He yells in my ear and puts a gun to my head.

"What the hell are you doing here?" Austin asks bolting through the kitchen door.

"Don't come any closer Austin, or I shoot her!" Jordan says and I start to feel tears run down my face.

"Jordan just put the gun down!" Austin says as calmly as possible.

"You don't tell me what to do." Jordan says and shoots Austin in the leg.

He lets out a cry of agony as blood starts to pour out and I feel tears streaming faster.

"It's-not-it's not her-you want-you want me." Austin says in between cries of pain.

"That's where you're wrong Austin. See I want both of you. I want the money back from you. And sweet little Ella here I want to fuck!" He shouts and shoots Austin again this time in the shoulder.

He cries out again and cripples down to the ground in pain holding his leg with on hand and his shoulder with the other.

"Jordan please let go if me!" I beg and he places the gun right up against my head.

"You shut up!" He yells.

Bang! I hear and soon Jordan's grip on me loosens. He falls to the floor and I turn around to see Hunter with a broken vase in his hand.

"I'll go call 911!" He yells and runs away.

"Austin!" I shout as everyone else comes into the kitchen. I rest his head on my leg and feel the tears flow faster than they had been. "It's going to be ok, you're going to be ok." I say and rock him back and forth.

"Ella." He wheezes out.

"You're going to be ok. I'm here." I tell him as the paramedics cone rushing into the kitchen.

They get him loaded into the ambulance but I can't seem to want to leave him.

"Please let me come with him." I say to one of the paramedics.

"Are you family?" He asks me.

"No I just need to be with him." I cry out.

"We prefer if family comes with us." He tells me.

"I'm his brother, please let her go with him." Hunter says and I give him a big hug before going into the ambulance.

I sit beside Austin and hold his hand as the paramedics do their thing.

"Austin everything is going to be fine. You're going to be fine Austin. You're going to be fine because-because I love you!" I choke out the words not knowing if he can hear me or not.

We get to the hospital quickly and there is a point where I can no longer go with him as he goes to surgery.

I look at myself in one if the mirrors in the hospital. I face is tear stained and my eyes are bloodshot from crying. My hair is messy and matted from being asleep and my clothes are covered in blood-his blood. But none of that matters right now. All that matters is that Austin makes it. I really do love him and I need him. I need him so badly it hurts.

Everyone soon gets to the hospital and I see that they were nice enough to bring me a new pair of pjs. I get changed and then go back to sit with my family. My dad takes one look at me and then opens his arm up wide.

"It's going to be fine Ella." He whispers in my ear and the tears start flowing again. "That boy is a fighter, he'll make it though." Dad says and I really hope it's true.

(A/N: :'( I hope Austin is alright. Ella finally confessed her love from him but I don't know if he heard her. Only three more chapters guys. I don't have much more to say to you guys so until next time.
