I pulled my drawer and grabbed my Briar gun, inserting it into my purse. I checked my reflection in the mirror then exited my office and took the elevator up to the roof. The doors opened to reveal my beautiful private rooftop restaurant. 

I smiled as I greeted a few employees and colleagues. I looked around till I saw the bald headed bastard with his face buried in his phone. "What brings you by?" I gave an overly sweet smile as I sat in front him. He looked up with a smirk and leaned back. "Well if it isn't my beautiful Rose, how are you my love?" I rolled my eyes and pulled a cigar from my purse. Instantly he pulled a lighter out his pocket and offered me a light. I took it and leaned back as well, puffing on my cigar and observing him. "Cut the bullshit will ya and just tell me what it is that you want so I can kick your ass out."  Eddie placed a hand over his heart feigning hurt then chuckled. "You really need to work on your manners you know. Is that any way to talk to your father... in law?" 

I laughed at that. "Eddie shut the fuck up and tell me why you're really here. My patience is running thin and I got work to do."

"Alright alright. Dan is out."

I froze. My heart started pounding in my chest and I frantically started looking around. Grabbing him by the collar, I pulled him closer to me. "What the fuck do you mean by he's out?" "Are you du-" I pushed him away and ran a hand down my face. "No I'm not dumb you fucking idiot. He shouldn't be out. Why the hell is he out?"

Eddie adjusted his tie and folded his arms. "Apparently he bribed some army official to get him out and clear his record."

"Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck."  I put out the cigar and pinched the bridge of my nose. I calmed myself then narrowed my eyes at Eddie. "Why tell me this?"

There goes that evil smirk. "Your reaction was gold." He laughed. "Besides, you're as good as dead. I was unsuccessful but with Dan...you'll get what your ass deserves. Bitch."

I quickly pulled out my gun and held it to his head. "You dare enter MY building and threaten ME!?" I scoffed. "You got some damn nerve Eddie. Now leave before I kill your pathetic ass." He got up, straightened his uniform and walked away, not before leaving me with these haunting words, "You're marked." He then exited the rooftop and I watched as the elevator doors closed.

I heard his voice over and over in my head.

My breathing became uneven as I looked around and my eyes landed on my chest. A red laser pointed to it and I pushed my chair back and ran to my private elevator.
