Karen was already gone as Clay waited outside with Vidiri for someone with the Anime Fight Repair™ service to arrive.
"Why do we not just run?" She asked.
"Because I did this," Clay sighed. "I'm the one who punched the demon back to hell. Plus this happens often so the landlord would know it was me."
"Oh."
A van pulled up from Anime Fight Repair™, and out stepped an extremely short teenager with hair who's length was comparable to his stature.
"Oh, it's Clay! HI CLAY!"
Clay sighed.
"What's wrong, sir?" Vidiri asked.
"Vidiri, this is Hataraku. He's always happy. Too happy. I think he's up to something."
"If Hataraku is a problem, I will not hesitate to eliminate him!"
"Wait, NO—"
It was too late. Vidiri launched herself towards Hataraku with the hammer she made earlier. Hataraku immediately shadow cloned himself three times in a row, each clone with their own set of nunchucks, and let them 3v1 her offscreen as he happily and casually walked towards Clay.
"Sorry about that," Clay said. "I told her not to but she—"
"It's fine, Clay!" Hataraku reassured him. "I need the practice anyways!"
"Practice? She's pretty strong, little dude. I'm not sure— oh."
I mean, what did you expect. It's a 3v1. Still, you should be able to punt three children.
"So you're using nunchucks now, huh?"
"Yep! It reminds me of 2007."
"Nice."
"So, what happened this time?" Hataraku asked, placing his hands on his hips as he looked down into the hole.
"Demon," Clay got up from his seat, offering Hataraku a piece of gum. He took it immediately, chewing distractingly loudly. "Said I sent a Karen to hell, and they got mad about it... or something. I don't know, I didn't really pay attention."
"Classic Clay! Alright, I'll get started filling this up."
Hataraku's shadow clones wrapped up with fighting Vidiri. They used her own paintbrush against her, painting Thor's hammer and using it to weigh her down by her hair. She growled at them as they all rushed over to help fill in the hole, jumping in one after another.
"You're sure they're okay in hell? Clay double checked, looking down the hole. He couldn't see that far down, but he could definitely make out the ominous red glow of the bottom.
"Of course!" Hataraku reassured him. "They're only clones, anyways. Plus, I'm super strong!"
Just as he said that, almost as if the opposite happened, the opposite happened. All three of his shadow clones popped out of the hole, scrambling and stepping over each other to run from an angered Ibexa, strengthened by a nice lava bath. Her pupils were now literally on fire, with magma flowing out of her scalp like hair.
"Now you see my true form! HELLBEAST IBEXA!"
Clay was not impressed.
"Alright... let's get this over with."
Serious face: on. Clay put on his usual poker expression, just with a slightly furrowed brow and less absentmindedness in the eyes.
"Normal stance Clay," Clay said quite normally. He stomped his foot, which unleashed a torrent of wind that blew hard enough to extinguish Ibexa's hellbeast form. She turned back into a normal, garden variety demon. Clay looked over her as she lay on the ground.
"Dude. Fix my sidewalk."
