Nathan’s POV:

Ladies and gentlemen we have arrived at MSG. The Wanted have landed. Ok, I guess you could say that my jitters went away and I’m pumped. We haven’t even gotten outta the car and I’m jumpy. It seems like I had 6 cups of coffee but I didn’t. “Nathan! Relax. It’s just another concert.” There goes Mr. voice-of-reason, Siva, trying to calm me down but I know it won’t happen. “Come on Siva. You gotta admit that this just tops other concerts. I mean…IT’S MSG! Plus, I have a girlfriend this time.” After that little “outburst”, I shrunk into my seat and waited for the teasing. Surprisingly, it never came. When I looked up, all the guys were looking at me with understanding; while Bri was looking at me with adoration and…love? No, that can’t be. Right? She doesn’t love me. Does she? Now that I think back to what Max said earlier, maybe she does love me as much as I love her. That definitely makes this concert easier to handle.

I hadn’t realized that I spaced off, while staring into her eyes, until I got a jab to the ribs from Jay. I quickly looked away and pretended to take in the scenery, which was pretty much just a ton of buildings. A few minutes later, we parked behind MSG and went in through the backdoor. Once inside, we headed off to find Jayne, hopefully she wouldn’t be hard to find. We found Jayne backstage talking to someone through her headpiece. “Somebody find them. They should’ve been here 5 minutes ago. We don’t have time to lose. We need this concert to run smoothly and start on time.” After she finished her little rant, she turned around and realized that we were right behind her. She muttered a quick ‘nevermind’ before focusing on the guys, Bri, Marcus and me. “Hey Jayne.” I shot out. She went around and gave us all hugs but when she got to Bri and Marcus, she looked a little confused. “What’s wrong Jayne?” Tom asked. Jayne looked over at Tom with a questioning face. “So who wants to explain why Bri is here 45 minutes early and why Marcus is here at all? No offense Marcus.” She began tapping her foot impatiently before Jay spoke up. “Bri’s here because she slept over again.” Jayne looked between me and Bri with a smile before looking back at Jay. “Oh and Marcus is here because he’s applying to be our personal chef for the tour. Even though we, including you Jayne, know that that he’ll get the job.” After his explanation, Jay looked a little smug. Jayne however looked a little bit pissed off. “Why would you say that Jay? I’ve never tasted his cooking. It could taste like death for all I know. Again, no offense Marcus.” Marcus just waved it off.

At this point, the guys, Bri and I looked at Jayne before doubling over in laughter. That seemed to piss Jayne off even more because her face was turning as red as a tomato. “Jayne, we’re only laughing because you’ve tasted Marcus’ cooking on multiple occasions and loved it each time.” Jayne seemed confused at Siva’s response, so I chimed in. “Remember that five layer chocolate cake from 2 weeks ago?” She nodded. “Marcus made it.” I couldn’t help but snicker at her baffled expression. “Or those triple chocolate muffins?” Tom asked. “Or those chocolate chip, blueberry, or strawberry pancakes.” Jay added. “You definitely can’t forget that huge meal we had a week ago. The spaghetti Bolognese, chicken, baked mac n’ cheese, fish, lasagna, mashed potatoes, salad, and broccoli was all done by Marcus.” Max said. “With a little help from me.” Of course Bri helped. The guys and I cooking is like a disaster waiting to happen. “So Jayne, now that we all agree that Marcus’ cooking and baking is extremely delicious, what do you have to say?” We all zoned in on Jayne and waited until she sighed in defeat. “Ok Marcus, since your food is heavenly and the guys and Bri love you…how would you feel about being the new personal chef for The Wanted?” There was a pregnant pause as we waited for Marcus to answer. Being who she is, Bri answered for him, “He accepts. It’s not like he as any other choice since he quit working at the café.”  She smiled smugly before wrapping her arms around my waist. “Why’d he quit?” I whispered into her hair. What? She smells like apple pie. “She looked up from the ground and replied with, “I don’t know. I guess he was confident that he’d get the job.” I nodded before focusing back on Jayne.
