Y/N's POV
Right now I'm at my moms house with the kids, I'm on the couch with my mom while the kids are upstairs playing in the toy room.
"So, what happened now"? Caroline asked confused. "So, basically I seen Aidan and turns out he is my boss" Y/N says. "How do you feel about all of this"? Caroline asked concerned. "Well I don't really know how I feel, I'm happy I get to see Aidan again but I'm scared he is gonna find out that he is a dad and then he will be mad at me or something" Y/N says. Caroline asks " do you think now that you are around Aidan again that you will tell him that he is a father"? Y/N says " mom I don't really know if I'm ready yet". Caroline says " it's up to you what you want to do but if I were you I would want my kids to have their father in their life" with a smile. Y/N says " yeah I know but it's so stressful at the moment, I don't want Aidan to hate me for it". Caroline says " take your time"with a reassuring smile. "Thanks mom" Y/N says with a smile. "NP sweetie" Caroline says.
Just then Blake and Belle come running down the stairs. Blake and Belle says " hey mommy" at the same time. Y/N says " hey kids, whatcha need?" Blake and Belle both say at the same time " mommy we're hungry". "Ok, go into the kitchen with grandma and she will get you guys some lunch" Y/N says with a smile. As the kids run to the kitchen, Y/N gets a text message from Aidan.
The text messages:
Aidan: hey😁
Y/N: hello watcha need?
Aidan: I was wondering if you would like to have lunch sometime to catch up
Y/N: sure, when?
Aidan: how about tomorrow during our lunch break?
Y/N: yeah that should work😁
Aidan: alright see you tomorrow
Y/N: see you bye 👋

Aidan's POV
I'm over at my friend Jake's house. We are watching the game. Jake asks " hey who were you texting just now"? Aidan says " I was texting Y/N". Jake asks " Like your ex Y/N"? Aidan says " yeah she's the new assistant at my parents company". Jake asks " how do you feel about her working with you"? Aidan says " to be honest I'm kinda glad I get to work with her after six years of being apart". " I hope you know that your the reason you both broke up 6 years ago"Jake says. Aidan says " you don't think that I already know that" while sounding sarcastic. "Hey chill out" Jake says.
Lauren's POV
"Hey Aidan can I talk to you for a minute"? Lauren asks. Aidan says " yeah sure mom what's up"? Lauren asks " I hope that it's not gonna be weird for you and Y/N to work together"? Aidan says " no mom don't worry it won't be weird at all" with a smile. "Ok, good I just wanted to make sure" Lauren says with a smile. Just then Rob walks into the living room and says " hey what are we talking about"? Aidan says " we were just talking about if it would be weird for me and Y/N to work together and I told mom that it would not be weird at all". Rob says " oh ok".
Aidan and his parents talk for another 2 hours
( 2 hours later)
"Hey mom and dad I think I'm gonna head home, it's been a long day and I'm really tired" Aidan said while yawning. Lauren says " alright drive safe and have a good night". Rob says " goodnight, I'll see you tomorrow at the office". "Goodnight mom, goodnight dad".
(Time skip to Aidan at home)
Aidan plops on his bed tiredly and decides to turn on Netflix, after 20 minutes Aidan's eyes begin to slowly close and eventually he ends up falling asleep with the only noise coming from the tv.
