CHAPTER 36

M E R C Y'S POV

AFTER A LONG dinner with the devil― I mean his uncle. Thank god! Natapos rin. It was actually torturing and a hard time with me. Every second passing with Achlys uncle, which I call the devil― well, totoo naman. But mabuti naman at natiis ko iyun. Even it was hard thing for me to do, still I made myself tough in front of him, and it was a success!

I made myself out that mansion with no injuries and I was safe― I mean Achlys, Me and of course, our baby. His uncle was so emotional, na akala mo mamamatay na si Achlys― but I know how prentending that old hag is. May paiyak-iyak pa siya, hindi naman totoo. Medyo naririndi ako kanina. But when I saw Achlys reaction. Talagang, he cares for his uncle― kahit panggap-panggap lang yung iyak niya.

How I wish Achlys will know how his uncle is just pretending. How I wish he could realize that his uncle is not the family that he should be trusting. He should not have trusted that old-hag. But I couldn't bring myself and not tell him. I know it will hurt him.

The only family he has, is actually the one who will kill him.

Wala ng sasakit, kung ang taong pinagtitiwalaan mo, ay siya rin ang sisira sa sarili mo. I hate his uncle so much, how can he hurt Achlys this much? How can he set a worried and happy face in front of Achlys while the truth behind it, hindi naman talaga lahat na iyun totoo. After all, he is just pretending.

After magpaalam ni Achlys sa kanyang uncle, he then held my waist and together we walked towards our car. We got in to our car and drove away from that mansion. I'm glad, that we are still safe.

"How... how much do you trust me?" Basag ko sa katahimikan. After we left in that mansion, walang nagsalita samin. So, I use this opportunity to ask him. Nababagabag na kasi ako sa isip at hindi ko maiwasang hindi magtanong.
