Chapter 5 - Vampire academy

Beep beep beep

Shut the hell up.

Beep beep

"Will you shut the hell up " I screamed, I was about to start hurtling insults at whatever was making the sound, but I was stopped dead in my tracks.

Cowboy man was here and two other women. What happened and why am I hear?

Tyler , Tyler is gone. I think he's dead and to be perfectly honest, I was upset to think that he was gone. Even though he had tortured me and tried to kill me , that is.

I was in a white room that reminded me of a nursery , though there was no cuddly teddy bear. I was hooked up to a machine; this certain machine was the source of the stupid beeping sound. I hurt all over , like my body was on fire. I had never been in so much pain before in my life, and trust me, I didn't exactly won't to get use to this feeling.

"Well hello to you to" the taller women of the pair said.

"Who are you exactly " I didn't want to sound rude, but it kinda just came out like that. Okay that was a total lie; of course I wanted to sound rude , I mean who the heck was she. I guess I'm kinda one of those girls that say exactly what they are thinking, without any bother of the consequences.

"Rude much and I'm Ellen but you will and I mean will call me headmistress kirova " she said with her head held high.

"Attitude much and why would I call you headmistress kirova Ellen" I replied with a questioning look

She then laughed like a witch and said "Don't ask stupid questions"

"Excuse me mam, but were am I"

" Welcome to St vladimirs academy aka vampire academy"

"Vampire academy" okay now I was scared and creeped out. Thinking about it Tyler had mentioned this place once or twice , but he was crazy

Oh my gosh, my breathing had now become heavy and my fists were clammy with sweat. I met her eye though, I wouldn't let her or the other two think I was scared, I was stubborn like that.

"Like I said dear" she dryly replied back with a hint of irritation in there

"They exist" I stumbled back with fear

"Obviously they do I'm one and your half one like dimitri and Alberta hear"

I was so freaked out now , what are they talking about

This can't be true, it just can't. And I'm one just like Tyler said

So I blurted out "Dimitri and Alberta" I questioned

"Really I tell you vampires exist and you are bothered about them. You really are bizarre " she said coldly back.

"Hello rose I'm dimitri belikov and this is Alberta how are you feeling, you took quite a blow to your head" he worriedly said I could hear his Russian accent.

"I am okay. Thank you for saving me dimitri " I said back, surprisingly blushing

And to be honest I felt fine, I don't know how though, I definitely took a beating from Tyler.

"No problem. I am glad you feel better" he beamed giving me a magical smile. I felt like a Disney Princess looking at her prince charming. I started to go a beetroot red.

"Anyway" kirova rudely interrupted our amazing conversation "Welcome to the academy do you have any questions" she asked trying to sound nice, but miserably failing.

"Lots actually like why am I supposedly only half and your a full vampire" I quizzed

I didn't actually know if I believed her I mean, come on vampires, next they will be saying that I am a quarter werewolf

"Okay then there are three types of vampires, listen carefully as I shan't repeat myself. The first type which I am is moroi. We are full vampires and yes our diet is blood"

I held my breath frozen in time.

"But don't worry we don't kill them"

I felt myself relax

"We also wield magic, but are better at one than the other. They are air, fire, water and earth, mine is air, which is the best in my opinion. Some of the moroi are royal, there are twelve royal families; the one ruling now is queen tatiana ivashkov. The families are very important , so they need protectors, guardians to be exact. This is where you come in"

"What do we become there servants or something " I asked

"No you moron you protect them , most moroi have a guardian. Rose you are half vampire and half human commonly referred to as dhampirs. Your life Mission is to protect them, and that is what the academy prepares you for. Then strigoi are the last type of vampire. They are fast, strong and deadly. They will kill moroi, dhampirs or humans to drink there blood, like"

"Like Tyler " I finished her sentence, the more and more she talked, the more I was believing her

"Yes just like Tyler, they will stop at nothing to kill you. Do you believe me now " she exclaimed losing her patience very quickly

"Prove it. You said that you could do air, whatever that means, show me " I said, this was my last chance to catch her out of her own game. But if she did do something out of the ordinary, I would believe her, part of me already did

"Very well" she murmured

I then felt all the air suck right out of me. I couldn't breathe. I frantically started to gasp, this was so not cool. I probably looked like a total loser to dimitri right now. After about 10 seconds, which felt like a eternity, all the air came flooding back to me.

"Do you believe me now" she taunted

"Yes" I growled back, and I did. All this was true and I was part of this world that not many have discovered.

"Very well" she said smoothly back "Will you join the academy"

"Yes"

"In that case Welcome to vampire academy"
