Internship

We sat in class the day after the festival, Mr.Aizawa showed us the number of agencies that were interested in us for the internship program. I had one of the highest numbers since I came in first, I had alot to choose from. I stayed after class to keep looking at what I wanted to do, Uru stayed with me.

Uru:You sure got alot of scouts, who are you going to go with?

Y/n:I don't know, right now I'm thinking the agency my uncle is with.

Uru:Your uncle is a hero?

Y/n:Yeah.

Uru:What's his Quirk?

Y/n:He has control over the air and stuff, he can even make it so sharp it can cut through stone.

Uru:Wait, I know him! The wind hero:Windpipe!

Y/n:Funny thing is, my mom chose the name. Yeah, I'll go to the Wind Agency.
What about you?

Uru:Oh, I haven't really thought about it. Maybe you can help me pick?

Y/n:Sure.

She laid out the list of agencies that wanted her, it was a pretty big list and a bunch of good agencies were on it.

Y/n:So, any you like in particular?

Uru:Well, there's a hero on here that my dad use to work with.

Y/n:You never told me your dad was a hero.

Uru:Well, you never asked.

Y/n:Touche. So, who is it.

Uru:The rocket hero:Launch.

Y/n:Isn't she some crazy person with a rocket launcher?

Uru:On the surface, yes. Her quirk is amazing though.

Y/n:What is it?

Uru:She can summon an entire armory with all types of weapons!

Y/n:How?

Uru:She opens up a portal and grabs the weapon through that.

Y/n:So she has a warp quirk, lucky. Well, I guess you have your answer.

Uru:Yeah, I guess so.

Y/n:Hey, I got a question. Who's your dad? Like what's he go by as a hero?

Uru:He use to go by Instinct but then got really hurt and couldn't do hero work any more, dad's had to walk with a cane for almost as long as I can remember.

Y/n:Sorry to hear that. What happened?

Uru:Some villain shattered his leg before he could react, his villain name was The Hitman.

Y/n:R-really?

Uru:Uh-hu.

Y/n:That's...that's rough. Well, um, that sucks. Well, I'm going to head off. I'll see you later.

I began to walk away, I couldn't help but feel guilty for what happened to her father because of mine. I clenched my fist as I walked away, my eyes going to glare.

Y/n:That's just another reason to bring you down.

A few days passed and I was outside my uncle's office, I took a deep breath and walked in. The lady at the desk stood up as I walked in.

Muya:Mr.L/n!? What are you doing here?

Y/n:I'm here to see my uncle, for the UA internship.

Muya:Yes, of course.

She sat back down and called my uncle, then she told me to head up. I took the stairs since I could move faster then the elevator and it was good training. I made it to the top floor and walked into his office, the only room on the top floor.

Y/n:Uncle Kal.

Kal:Y/n, how have you been?

Y/n:Do you actually care?

Kal:I thought I would ask.

Y/n:I'm here for the-

Kal:You're here for the internship, I know.

He stared at me from across the room, his cut hands clasped together infront of his scarred face.

Kal:Why should I accept?

Y/n:Besides the fact that we're family, I've been doing exactly what you asked me to. I'm at the top of my class in UA and I came first in the sports festival, do you know how many offers I had?

Kal:Then why did you come here? I know I didn't request it.

Y/n:Because you're the best hero I know, you're number four in the world.

Kal:Fine, but only for your mother.

Y/n:She's the only reason you do anything for me.

Kal:She's the only reason I still accept you as my family!

Y/n:I am not my father! Her death was not my fault!

Kal:It might as well been! Go, leave.

Y/n:Aren't you suppose to teach me?

Kal:Fine, here's a lesson. Don't be places you're not wanted.

Y/n:Fine.

I left his office, going to train by myself. It was awhile before he called me back to the office, he told me to bring my hero suit. I arrived, in gear, ready to go.  I saw my uncle in his own suit.

Kal:Now, we're going on patrol. Don't fall behind.

Y/n:That's not something you have to worry about.

We left the office and walked through the city, night eventually fell and a legion of the bird monster from UA flooded the streets.

Y/n:These things, again?!

Kal:You know what they are?

Y/n:Something like them was at the UA villain attack.

Kal:So, are they human?

Y/n:No, just monsters.

Kal:Good.

With a wave of his hand I saw the heads of the monsters sliced off, the heads themselves being slashed into pieces in the air. I boosted to times ten and began to fight some of the them myself, while I was fighting my phone went off but I was too busy fighting to check it. One of them shot fire out of it's eyes at me, making me dodge back with with a handspring. Once I was out of harms danger I saw Uru run up to me.

Uru:Y/n, what are you doing here?!

Y/n:I could ask the same thing to you.

Uru:I'm here with my hero, are you okay?

Y/n:Fine enough, just help me fight these things off.

Uru:You got it.

We didn't fight nearly as long as I thought we would have as the monsters began to retreat.

Y/n:Why are they running? It's not like they were losing.

Uru:Maybe they thought this fight wasn't worth anymore casualties?

Y/n:Maybe, well, are you okay? You didn't get hit, did you?

Uru:No, I'm okay.

Y/n:That's good. You know I-I would hate it if you got hurt.

I saw her face go almost as red as mine after hearing what I said.

Y/n:*Why would I say that?!*

Uru:R-really?

Y/n:Yeah, definitely.

She smiled as she leaned in to kiss me on the cheek, my cheeks went redder than Kirishima's hair from that surprise.

Uru:See, you are sweet.
