A soft breeze stirred the leaves. There was a wolf sitting on the beach on an island. Its expression was unreadable. It looked as if he waited...
Two wolves walked toward him slowly. They were troubled, by the look of it. One of them, a big gray male spoke. »I'm sorry, master. We couldn't catch the thieves,« he said. The black wolf who was sitting there turned around and confronted him. »B-but ...« Anxiety flashed from his eyes, for one short moment. Then he spoke slowly, with a coldness of ice in his voice. »I assume my words were clear. But it seems you didn't listen to me.« The coldness turned to pure rage. »We NEED that money, understand?! If we don't get it back, that's the end! We can't stay here anymore!« He growled.
None of the other wolves spoke. Jack, the black wolf, calmed down. He turned away from them. »You can go now. I will talk to Lily,« he murmured. Then he walked away.
Jack was sitting in his clan's den, waiting for his mate to join him. A pure white wolf finally appeared and walked to him. »Hey, honey, you alright?« she asked him softly. Jack blinked at her before replying. »Lily, sit down. I need to talk to you.« »What's going on?« She sounded confused. He didn't usually sound so serious. »Someone stole our money. I don't know anymore what to do. I think we'll have to move from here.« His head drooped and he looked desperate. Liliane was still for a moment. »But.. Honey... Okay, listen. We have to find that money. Or will you simply give up?« Her encouragement didn't help much. Jack stood up immediately. »But.. What should I do?!« Liliane stood up then and murmured to him. »Only one can solve this. We have to call the detective.« Jack brightened up at her words. »This is.. Brilliant idea!« He met Liliane's eyes. »Thank you so much, Lily! I don't know what I'd do without you.« He charged away, saying: »I will tell King to call the detective.«
