Dear Tony,

I'm sure that this won't be the only letter that you receive in the next few days, and I know that I'm probably that last person that you want to see.

You changed my life. You've made it better, and worse at times. However, all of those times helped shape me into the woman that I am today. Now, I know that I still have a lot more maturing and growing to do, but I get that opportunity because of you. You took a chance on an under-qualified teenage girl from the small country of Sokovia, you took the long shot.

I felt that I owed you everything when I got here, but I know now that I do not owe you anything. We've both done unforgivable and irresponsible things, Tony. I regret most, if not all, of those things and I hope you do to.

I'm sorry that I wasn't there for you when you found out about what the Winter Soldier did to your parents, and I mean it when I say that I'm deeply sorry. If I could be there supporting you, right now, I would. But, I know that you need to navigate these waters on your own.

We've been tied into a toxic father-daughter relationship these past couple years. I'm changing that, in this moment, as you read this letter. I'm cutting the past ties, forgiving everyone, and starting fresh. From now on, our past is simply old memories, nothing more. Once, we've both taken some needed time away, we'll start again on new terms, as new people- better people.

Best Wishes,

Lilli

P.S If you betray Peter, Tony, I will respectively and lovingly kick your ass. I haven't known him very long, but he reminds me of myself at his age. Learn from the mistakes we made, and treat him better. If not, I will kidnap him from you, and do it myself.

I love you, Tony Stark.

"Thank you, again, for allowing us to stay in Wakanda for the time being." Steve expresses his gratitude once more.

"It is no problem, Captain. Lilliana and I have worked out the details, and its the least that I can do for her. I owe her." Black Panther replies calmly.

"How did you say you guys knew each other?" Bucky asks curiously.

"Well, it happened about 10 years ago..."

"My father was negotiating an agreement with the Sokovian government, and had decided to bring me along. It was a low-risk trip out of the country. It was convenient, I was going to be king one day, and I desperately needed to learn..."

------------------------

"Father! Father! Please! I really want to go, Father!" the young T'Challa calls.

"I'm afraid not, little one. It will be boring, anyways. You don't want to be bored, do you?" his father replies.

"I do not care! I want to go. I want to see the people, the buildings, the cultures." he explains.

"King T' Chaka, if we plan on getting to Sokovia on time, we need to leave now." a loyal servant presents.

The King sighs, giving a final look at his eager heir.

"Fine," he agrees, "you can come, but only if you promise to behave yourself. You are the Prince, after all."

"Yes! Yes, yes," the boy halts, "I- I mean, thank you, father. I am honored to be assisting you."

T' Chaka chuckles, enveloping his son by the shoulder, pulling the boy into his hip, "oh, come on."
-------------------------

"Va rog sa mergeti in piata pentru putina apa din fântână? Avem nevoie de plus pentru a ne putea face rufele în această săptămână." a mother says kindly.

(Translation: 'Please go to the square for some water from the well? We need extra so we can do our laundry this week.')

"Da, desigur, mama." the teenage girl replies, "Câtă apă ți-ai dori merg iau? M-am dus mai departe și a făcut toată lumea, dar a mea, ieri."

(Translation: 'Yes, of course, mom. How much water would you like me to go get? I went ahead and did everyone's but mine, yesterday.')

"Oh, nu trebuia faci asta. Plănuiam fac asta, astăzi. Am vorbit despre tine luând pe munca suplimentară, miere." the loving mother whines.

(Translation: 'Oh, you didn't have to do that. I was planning on doing that, today. We've talked about you taking on extra work, honey.')

"Știu, știu, dar ieri păreai atât de obosită și am avut ceva timp liber. Acum, du-te te odihnești, mamă. Voi termina de rufe mine." a younger Lilli insists, leaving the rugged apartment with a metal bucket in hand.

(Translation: 'I know, I know, but you seemed so tired yesterday and I had some free time. Now, go get some rest, mama. I'll finish of the laundry myself.')

"I-" her mother smiles, knowing that she raised a respectful daughter that will thrive in opportunities.

As Lilliana paces through the stoned streets in her holed ankle-high boots, she spots an African boy around her age. This intrigues her for she's never seen him before, and Sokovia is too compact not to know anyone- everyone knows everyone around here, its just how they roll. Which means that theirs a foreigner in their small town, and Lilliana is overly curious.

And... the well is in that general direction, so it wouldn't hurt to take a closer look, right?

Lilli Maximoff continues down her path, but this time, her eyes rarely leave the unexpected visitors. The well is vacant, often non-crowded at this time of day, so its easy for her to find a spacious opening. However, her mind is no longer committed to her task. Lilliana clumsily spills the bucket of wet clothes.

"Oh, let me help," an unfamiliar voice says kindly, reaching for the now dirty clothes.

The young girl raises her head slightly, only to lock eyes with the exact same boy that she was spying on earlier.

"O-oh, thank y-you." Lilli attempts to practice her English speaking.

"It's my pleasure, miss?" He questions, yearning for Lilliana to announce her name.

"I'm Lilliana Maximoff." She replies quietly.

Lilli doesn't know who this mysterious boy is, and she's definitely one to know of the dangers of talking to strangers.

"Well, Ms. Lilliana, I would be happy to help you with your laundry. I have the time." T'Challa insists.

"N-no, no. Really, you don't h-have to do t-that. I c-can get by o-on my own. I don't w-want to b-bother you" Lilliana stutters.

"I can promise you that it is no burden. I am happy to help the citizens here." He assured her professionally nice. Which is surprisingly comforting to the Maximoff's developing mind.

Author's Note:

I'm sorry that this chapter came out so late, I've been swamped with school. I've literally got 4 tests to take this week and 3 of them are on the same day. Wish me luck! Anyways, Enjoy!
