Mak has always been a loner. Most people just blow her off or act like she's invisible. Not Liv. Liv is Mak's one and only bestfriend. She makes her feel needed and wanted. Liv is the only one that knows about Liam Payne being Mak's brother. Liv basically lives with Mak when Liam is on tour. With them both being 17 and still in high school, they can't go with the band.
"Mak wake up! We're going to be late for school!" Liv yells down the hall.
"Erg, it's too early!" Mak groans. She gets up and opens the window to let the sun flow in. She slowly gets ready despite Liv's obnoxious wining. She walks down the hall to find Liv already gone.
"That little bitch. She left me." Mak says allowing herself to laugh.
*Time Lapse To School*
The girls head separate ways to their classes for the first three periods. Fourth period they finally meet for lunch and go outside to eat at the picnic tables. "Liv how about after school we go to the mall?" Mak asks.
"YES!" Liv yells, she has a grin on her face like a kid on Christmas morning. They eat quickly to beat the bell for class. They run thru all of their classes, eager to go to the mall.
The last bell rings and the girl meet up at the mall. "What store do we go into first?" Liv asks Mak. She doesn't wait for a response and heads in the direction of Claire's.
"Makenzie Payne. I haven't seen you since middle school!" A woman says waving at Mak. Mak looks her way and her face lights up. "Mrs. Brown! What are you doing here?" Mak had moved to America after ninth grade.
"Well I'm here visiting some family and doing a little shopping. Her Mrs. Poppins voice is like a chime. "I have to go now dear. Nice see if you!" She waves as she walks away.
"Hey did she say Payne? As in Liam Payne? Like from that idiotic boyband?" Says a boy standing near them. His friends snicker.
"Mak we should go..." Liv states.
"Yeah. Come on." Liv drags Mak out of the mall but the kids follow them.
