Not a Good Time

"Did he have a concussion or something??" You whispered to Lucinda. "Girl I have no clue why he's acting like this" The redhead whispered back. Zane didn't have a scratch or bruise on him but he definitely was different. It's like he remembers us, well not Garroth, but in a different way. Almost like his memories have been altered?

"Hey man, you doing alright?" You asked in concern. He almost perked up at seeing you "Oh hi Y/n! brother will be very pleased to see you soon" Zane said, patting your head sweetly. At first you felt your face warm up. Oh wow Zane usually isn't this nice... "What does that mean?" Garroth asked, running a stressed hand through his hair. You felt anxiety shoot through you at his words. What he just said about this 'brother' finally hit you.

"Who is your broth-" You started. "Guys he's finally back and safe. We really did you think you got kidnapped Zane!" Aphmau interjecting hugging him again. "I never got kidnapped, I went on a stroll" He chuckled. "Maybe we should give Zane a rest and ask questions later," You said. If your new suspensions were right you had to question him alone.

"I'm glad he's okay to, and Aphmau you've been hugging him for a while now. But we should really start asking real questions" Lucinda pointed out.

After a few questions and answers Zane went to the bathroom. The rest of you were still worried about his mental state. With Aphmau and Lucinda thinking he has some form of amnesia. Everyone agreed to just go along with whatever he said while trying to jog his memory. When Zane came back he mentioned seeing Aaron outside. "Zane, where did you see my brother last?!" You said seriously. "Wait, he's out there still?! The storms are starting to pick up!" Aphmau gasped.  Shit this isn't good.

You, Aphmau, Lucinda decided to search for Aaron. While Kim and Garroth stayed in the lodge to look after Zane. Deciding to question Zane some more, you stayed back for a minute. "What's this brother of your's name" You questioned. "I'm his brother" Garroth protested, then shutting up upon seeing the annoyed look on your face. "I'm going to make some chicken noodle soup" He said leaving the table.

Slipping into his seat you got a much closer view of Zane. A man's scent hit you square in the face. One that you've smelt traces of all over the property.

There was no denying it now Ein was in the lodge. You didn't know where or how but there was no doubt in your mind that he was here.

"Son of a bitch" You muttered leaving the table as Zane stared at you. 

You felt breathless and like your head was spinning. So much so that you walked straight into Kim. "My bad Kimmy-" You started, "Hey watch where you're going" Kim snapped in a gruff tone. It caught you so off guard you stopped right in your tracks. "Kim?" You said in surprise. Her voice was so different from her normal gentle tone. "Where is Zane?" She asked in a more normal voice. "Um in the kitchen you were just there, we all were" You said awkwardly. Looking closer she had an almost dazed look in her Amber/blue? Eyes. Before you could ask if she was okay she walked away.

Are those her new contacts?? Great now she's acting off. Glancing back to the area they were all in you wondered if you should say something. Maybe I'm overreacting again, even if I'm not there, probably going to dismiss what I say again.

"Ein I swear to god if you're really here" You said in a furious tone. 

"Who's that guy?" Hyacinth asked, leaning over your shoulder. Holding your phone to your chest you tried to play innocent. "Uh no one" You replied with a nervous smile. "Yeah sure" She snickered. As you tried to go back to studying the werewolf continued to lightly tease you. Hyacinth moves her black curly locks out of her eyes while still giggling at her own jokes. You truly did think she was a lovely girl with smooth brown skin and deep brown eyes you could just melt into.

"He's my old ex-boyfriend from high school. We don't talk much anymore" You said. Taking the photo of you and Ein at the fair out of your phone case. Hyacinth tilted her head brown wolf ears perked. "Ah bad break up?" She said putting a hand on your shoulder to comfort you. "I guess you could say that" You mused putting the photo back. "Well he's definitely missing out" Blossom pipped in, taking a seat next to her twin sister. The two were nearly identical but Blossom had gray ears and tail. And a couple sick tattoos and eyebrow piercing. "They finally let y'all escape" You joked as Hyacinth snickered. "Yup, didn't even have to stitch someone's arm up either" She joked back.

The pent up emotions you've been surpressing since college came back to out. Sneaking back upstairs you knew that you needed to get in contact with Tatianna again. Finding the opening in the wall you took a deep breath and stepped foot into the passageway. But this time you had a much better idea of the place.
