Author note -I was rewatching love chuunibyou and other delusions this week and man did the characters feel similar to konosuba( In a good way) if you guys haven't watched it you should it's a very wholesome anime

“No, that’s just a letter to my daughter about how I’ve been doing. I got a little carried away when writing it. My Crimson Demon bloodline makes it impossible for me to write normal letters…”the village chief said as I presented him with the letter that had brought us there

Yunyun had been very overjoyed when we said that we wanted to accompany her on the journey to the crimson demon village

It hadn’t been much of a journey as we had just teleported straight to the gates of the village

I was not going to get into any fights that could be avoided, it had only been due to wiz and some luck that we didn’t encounter many monsters during our last trip

Yunyun and darkness had at first debated that we should just take a carriage rather than teleport

I had understood why darkness said that but I didn’t understand why yunyun had said that

Megumin told me later that it was just a weird yunyun thing where she didn’t like to depend much on magic or something

It hadn’t taken us, that is Megumin and me, to convince them

Yunyun had come around to the idea very quickly when megumin said that they would just not go if they went by a carriage

And darkness had seen that she was alone in that endeavor so she had relented too

“I don’t really understand, you worded it out like it was an emergency, right yunyun?” I said in reply to village chief as I asked yunyun for some help by signaling her with my eyes

She too was stunned as she sat there in her seat

Hearing me she got out of her shock a little and said

 “Y-yes, at the beginning of the letter you wrote, ‘By the time you read this letter, I will probably have already passed on from this world-”

“Isn’t that the standard greeting amongst us Crimson Demons? Didn’t you learn that in school?… Ah, now that you mentioned it, you and Megumin graduated early because your results were excellent.”

I had thought that I had gotten used to the weird things crimson demons did and that I couldn’t be surprised anymore

But I guess I was wrong, you should never underestimate the chuunibyou of crimson demons

“ but you said that the scouts you had sent had gone missing and that you were unable to break through the military base built by the Demon King’s army?”

I asked as I still wanted to know what was that about

“Oh,those parts? We found the scouts a few hours after I sent the letter, they had drunk a few to many bottles of alcohol and had wandered into orc territory, we had to save them before they were killed and the demon army built a very extravagant base,so we couldn’t decide if we should destroy it or keep it as a new scenic attraction”

Would it be okay if I punched him?

I MEAN THE DEMON KING HAS SENT AN ARMY TO ATTACK YOUR VILLAGE AND YOU ARE THINKING OF TURNING THERE BASE INTO A TOURIST SPOT!
