She opened the cabinet mirror, and gasped slightly. Oh my god. There were dozens of concealer bottles in there, plus some other things. There was a face stencil, some hair gel, a contact box, but that wasn't what worried her. What worried her, was the small black bottle near the front of the left bottom shelf. "Are those...anti-depressants?" Kaminari said in alarm. Suddenly, she no longer regretted snooping. Something's wrong. Very, very wrong. She grabbed the bottle, then checked the rest of the cabinet. "One, two, three, four- There's four other bottles in here!" Jiro read the label on the one she held, looked at the day it was made and the number of pills that were supposed to be in it. "It was made...a week ago." She murmured, then opened the bottle. Jiro's eyes widened slightly. There's only...three left. This bottle was supposed to have 30. She quickly closed up the bottle and replaced it, then closed the cabinet. Should I tell someone? Should I confront him? Midoria had always been so happy... Unless, is he faking it? How long has he... She checked the trashcan, it didn't matter that it was snooping anymore. Her classmate's mental health was at stake and she needed to help. Kaminari watched in silence as she rifled through the trash a bit, her hands caught on a bottle.
She fished it out and gritted her teeth when she realized it was another anti-depressant bottle. Then, Jiro noticed a note stuck to it. 'take one a day problem child. If it's really overbearing and still doesn't work you can do another. I won't give you any special privileges in class but if you need to leave for a few minutes I can let it slide for you.' Her eyes widened slightly. Problem child...that's what Mr. Aizawa calls Midoria. He knows? He's the one who gave him the bottles... So this wasn't a new issue, it was ongoing. The date on this bottle was three weeks ago. They both stood there in silence for a few moments, trying to wrap their heads around the sad truth. He's faking it. He must be, but what does it have to do with all these pictures? There was one option. One thing she could think of, one that she really didn't want to believe. Friends that he lost in a villain attack, it's the only thing I can think of that would make sense. Suddenly there was loud thumping, and she heard Mina yell. "Get back here Kirishima!" Jiro tensed, then dropped the bottle back in the trash and grabbed Kaminari as they exited the bathroom. There supposed to be with Midoria, is he back so soon? We can't get caught.
Kaminari tried to protest but she yanked the closet door open and shoved him in, then closed it behind her as she held it shut. Jiro put both earphone jacks into the door as well. Kaminari quickly got out his phone and typed something, then put it on silent. He also grabbed hers to but she was too busy listening to snap at him. "Thanks guys, that was fun." Midoria said, then the doorknob turned. "See you later!" Uraraka said. "Yeah, have fun studying Midoria" Sero said. There was some footsteps. "yeah, I'll probably be studying for the next few hours so I'll need some peace and quiet alright? But this was fun" Crap. Is he really going to study for that long? This might be bad. The door closed, and then she heard Midoria sigh. "Study. Yeah, study. What I do, every day" She paused. Why did that sound sarcastic? There was a zipping sound. "What do I actually want to do?" he muttered. Jiro's grip tightened slightly on Kaminari's arm. He lied? But why? Footsteps, then a drawer opened. "Hmm...maybe read? No I don't feel like it. I could write I guess...no." He mumbled to himself. Then there was shuffling. "I wonder how many people would notice if I jumped off the balcony." She and Kaminari froze. Is he thinking about...killing himself?
Midoria sighed. "Ahh, I can't do that. People might think I'm trying to commit suicide and I'd get yelled at." Kaminari let out a relieved breath, but Jiro caught the words. Then why would he jump off a balcony? If he wasn't trying to kill himself, why would he do it? "Damn it where's my list of things to do when I feel lonely" Jiro bit her lip. Why'd he be alone then? Why doesn't he stay with the other classmates? "One...act it out. Hmm..." There was a pause, then it sounded like something was lifted out of a drawer. "Let's see...where's the bucket" More shuffling, it sounded like slips of paper were being taken out. "Oh god, Killua and Palm. That interaction would go horribly" Are those names? He said 'act it out', so maybe it's some of the people in those pictures. "Let's try that again" He muttered. More shuffling and paper crinkling. "Why the hell do I have Retz in here?" Did he just swear? There was a shredding sound and more paper noises. "Oh, I got Killua again. Hmm... Killua and Kurapika. Yeah, that could work" another drawer opened and what sounded like two objects were lifted out. "Ahem..." Midoria cleared his throat, Kaminari gave her a baffled look. What the hell is going on here?
