Chapter 11

"Hey!" Venti greeted Bennett and Razor enthusiastically as he sat in front of them on the floor. Bennett waved at Venti with a grin, and Razor offered a small smile with a nod of his head. Venti quickly glanced over to where Xiao was, seeing him already engaging in a private conversation with Diluc. 

"Hey Venti! Are you still weird?" Bennett giggled, making Venti face him with a confused look. "Oh, I mean you've been acting a bit on edge all afternoon and night. Are you sure you didn't take something you shouldn't have?" He added after noticing Venti's confusion.

"And are you sure you didn't give some of whatever you took to Xiao?" Razor added under his breath. Gosh, they always assumed the worst in him. Sure, Venti wouldn't call him the most responsible person around but he wasn't a stoner or alcoholic. 

Well, he personally didn't refer to himself as an alcoholic.

"No. I'm sober." He stated with a sigh, noticing how Bennett quirked up one of his eyebrows. "Well, besides from the alcohol Diluc gave everyone I'm sober. Besides, you know I have high tolerance so the small amount I've had won't affect me." He shrugged. 

Bennett and Razor still looked a bit skeptical, as Venti noticed the two boys exchange a look. Although, they decided not to share whatever that look meant with Venti and changed the topic instead.

"Thoughts on the party?" Bennett asked, but before Venti could answer him he continued, "I really like it, I think it's really cool! Like the colour themes Xingqiu chose are sick! Also it's really nice to see Kaeya again, he looks like he has been well. Gosh, it must have been so nice in America, a part of me has always wanted to go there. I would love to explore and meet the people, also try the food!" He rambled on with a giggle, Razor smiled at his boyfriend fondly. 

Venti decided this would be the perfect opportunity to go in and ask questions, "so, you really like Kaeya?" 

Bennett nodded his head vigorously. "Of course! He's my friend!"

Venti hummed in acknowledgement, "so you would never do anything to hurt him, go out of your way to cause him pain and possibly take his life away from him?"

At this, Razor quirked his eyebrow up suspiciously as Bennett choked on his drink, seemingly taken aback. Eventually, when Bennett could finally breath again he answered.

"W-what? What do you mean?" He wheezed. 

"Nothing, nothing..." Venti shrugged as if they were talking about the weather, then he turned to face Razor. "What about you? Ever wanted to hurt somebody?"

Razor's eyes impossibly widened, why were they so taken aback? 

"Razor means no harm." He muttered, his gaze falling to the ground as Bennett patted his arm reassuringly.

"Why are you asking all these weird questions?" Bennet questioned him, which Venti ignored. He was on a mission and was going to complete it successfully.

"Did either of you have an affair with Kaeya or Albedo?" He asked, gazing at them both intensely. If you thought Bennett and Razor looked shocked before, this was a whole new level. 

"W-w-w-w-wh-what???" Bennett stuttered, Razor just stared at Venti as if he just murdered someone right in front of them. "W-what's going on Venti? Y-y-you're d-drunk right? S-should I take you h-home?"

Venti ignored them again and asked another question, "do you know anything about poison?"

Bennett and Razor looked absolutely shocked and unbelievably confused.

"Should we know something about poison?" Bennett finally choked out, as Razor nodded his head to agree with his boyfriends words.

Venti examined their faces, they seemed too shocked to seem suspicious. What was Venti thinking? They probably don't know the first thing about poison or murder. Venti flashed them a joyful smile. "Never mind!" He exclaimed as he stood up, bowing his head, "I should go! Have a nice night!"

Then he skipped off into the crowd of people, leaving Bennett and Razor staring at him with their mouths in an 'o' shape. Completely taken aback, rightfully confused and shocked.
