"Miss is this chicken even cooked right", my best and only friend Sam asking the staff cafeteria lady.
"Yes it is now I suggest you eat before you end up starving yourself. So stop being picky," the lady barks back with hatred in her eyes since as if we are the most vile and evil people in the world. We hurry off to our seats ourselves with everyone else since you don't get a table for yourself. It's exactly like the table from the movie "Holes" while they are eating all huddle and squish together.
"So what did the judge say about your release date," Sam asked with excitement but also sadness in her eyes. Knowing that when I leave she would have 10 more years of suffering in this hell hole.
"We'll she told me that if I keep behaving good and follow the rules this week she will let me out the following week after," I said back sadness laced in my voice."Why do you sound sad it's every prisoners dream to be reales earlier than expected," she said back.
"Because I don't have a family to go back to and the reason why the judge one let me out this week is because she is looking for a foster home for me to stay in once I get out I'll be free sure but also alone," I said back.
"Maybe but there is also a chance you'll find people in your life maybe even get adopted or find love," she said with hope in her eyes.
I smiled and laughed at her "I doubt it, what your saying is a fairy tale darling," I reply back.
