The moon rose in the deep black night sky; the stars twinkled under the full bright moon, with the sound of laughter, and sadness growing in the thick cool air of October. Men and women were dressed in rags, including the woman who stood quietly as she was dragged by shackles that pinched her skin too tightly, breaking the skin, blood oozing and crusting to the metal.

She watched through wide eyes, filled with tears that would not fall while she watched as men and women were either drank dry or made slaves. A man pulled at the chains, and she finally followed in clothing that barely covered anything, her ivory skin exposed all too much, the only body parts covered being her reasonably large breasts and her front and behind; her arms were cut up and knees scraped, bruises casing her arms and face. She looked out into the large crowd of blood drinkers.

She grunts lightly as she was forcefully pulled up onto the stage, she turned her sapphire eyes to the woman who wore a torn dress, covering more than what covered her almost naked body. The woman's blonde hair was messy and her cheeks stained with tears and her eyes darkened as she stared at the crowd.

The auctioneer called out for anyone to claim the blonde maiden, and when one stood, he stood before her, she screamed in terror, and she fell to her knees as the man's blackened eyes stared into hers, and he pulled up and dragged her away, she screamed the whole way off the stage, while others were lead to a room to be bled dry. The woman's heartbeat was hard in her chest, almost ready to explode, as she watched the blonde maiden disappear behind the curtains.

She was tugged, and then she reached the auctioneer, he looked over her body.

"Gentlemen, we have a nice one here, so good enough to eat." He smiled at her, revealing his long white fangs, she remained indifferent, "Who would like to claim this little damsel?"

No one spoke, the auctioneer's smile faltered slightly, "No takers....anyone?" He tsk'ed the audience, "What a waste..."

He began to lead her away, then a man stood, a man of black hair and red eyes came up the stage. "I'll take her,"

The woman frowned, and kept her distance, despite the pain she felt radiating from her wrists she attempted to free herself from the tight shackles. The auctioneer pulled her forward, she winced in pain, fresh cuts dug into her skin, the dark-haired man walked to her and pinched her chin and turned her head from side and to side, then his eyes looked to her breast, and he cupped it in his free hand. Her lip twitched.

"You're a desirable one, aren't you?" his voice hit her ears, her frown deepened. "I think I'll claim you as mine, and we can find ways to praise that body of yours."

In a bold move, she spat in his face, the smile the man had on his face fell, he wiped the spit off it with a handkerchief from his pocket of his nice black suit, and he smacked his hand unto her face, she fell back, slamming onto the stage floor. The ebony-haired man stood over her and grabbed her by the hair, she cried out and others mumbled amongst the crowd.

"You're a feisty one, aren't you?" He snarled, and he gripped her hair tighter. Tears formed in her eyes again, "When I take you home, you will learn who the superior is, I will break you until there is nothing to repair, do you understand?"

His threatened words had her shuddering, but she composed herself, revealing no fear to him; she stood as he pulled her up by the hair.

The man grabbed her by the arm and she shook it off and raised a hand to smack her once again, she flinched as it neared her, but before it could touch her, the hand was stopped.

The man turned his head and faltered.

"Sir Nicholas!" some called in-crowd, everyone gasped, all except for her. The blackened-haired man backed away, "What...what are you doing here?"

The other man stood and his piercing green eyes bored right through him, his hair shining in golden tints in the spotlight, "I needed to end this before it got all too far..."

His eyes turned to the woman, grimaced, and he stared briefly before they reverted to the other man of coal-colored locks, "I will be claiming her."

     "Sire—but she's—"

"Is there a problem?" The blonde man was tempted, the other backed up a step.

And in mere moments, he gave up, all defense diminished, "No, sire. She is all yours."

The blonde nodded and turned to the auctioneer, and gave him a wad of cash, the auctioneer's eyes bugged out of their sockets, he gave him the key to the shackles; he gestured for him to claim her.

The man gripped her arm firmly, she flinched at the touch, the feeling of warmth tingling up and down her bruised arm, and she was guided off the stage, only then did she look back to see several people staring back in the same astonishment she expressed.

She was pushed into the back of a black Mercedes-Benz, and he closed the door behind her, she messed with the shackles carefully, and when he got into the driver's seat did she finally slump in her seat.

And they drove off in the night, with her sapphire eyes staring at the full bright moon, the stars standing beside it like soldiers...in the darkness was the moon the only light.

And no voice...
