Following weekend...

Your POV

Zyair still wasn't use to Nelly coming around or even hearing his voice. He'd look at him and roll his eyes or just ignore him. Nelly did need up going to the VMAs, but it was because he had to. I wasn't tripping over it anyways. Zyair and I did our usual Sunday routine. Went out for breakfast, went to the park, had a quick nap, ate lunch, had another nap before I had to cook dinner. After dinner, we took a bubble bath together and watched a movie before it was time for him to go to sleep.

Unfortunately, our movie was ruined by his dad coming over. I went downstairs with Zyair on my hip and opened the door.

"Hi, chunky man. How was your day?" Nelly asked him with a huge grin on his face. Surprisingly, he got a giggle out of Zyair and Zyair reached out for him. He happily took him into his arms and looked at me.

"What are you doing here?" I asked him.

"Just wanted to stop by before I have to go to this party," he said and I nodded. I closed the door and he followed me to the living room.

"His bed time is in thirty minutes," I said to him.

"Mama," Zyair said sleepily.

"Yes, sweetie?" I asked him as he rubbed his eyes. He smiled at me and blew me a kiss. I smiled back before catching the kiss.

"I love you, baby. Close those pretty eyes for mama and get some sleep," I said kissing his forehead. His eyes flutter closed and just like that he was out like a light.

"He doesn't put up a fight?" Nelly asked and I shook my head.

"No, unless he isn't feeling well," I told him. Nelly stayed for about twenty minutes until his management started blowing up his phone.

"I gotta go, but I'll come over tomorrow afternoon," he said handing Zyair back to me. I just nodded.

"Be safe," I said softly and he smiled.

"I will," he said. He was about to hug me but I held my hand out stopping him.

"Good night," I told him before stepping back and closing the door. I could hear him sigh and walk off. I locked the door and went back upstairs to put Zyair in his crib. I got in my bed and slowly fell asleep. Around four in the morning, I heard banging on the front door. Luckily, it didn't wake up Zyair. I went downstairs to see who it was and there stood a very intoxicated Nelly. I opened the door and he fell to the floor. I closed and locked the door.

"Shit. Hey, Y/N," he slurred and I sighed helping him up.

"Shut up. You're too loud," I told him and he chuckled.

"Where's little man?" he asked.

"Asleep. It's four in the morning," I told him and he mumbled something. I closed the door and escorted him over to the sofa to lay down. He had bumped into the table knocking over my vase resulting in it breaking.

"Shit, my bad," he said very loudly and I put my hand over his mouth.

"Shut up," I told him and he nodded looking at me. I took my hand off his mouth and went to get him a blanket.

"Why didn't you let me hug you?" he questioned.

"Why would I?" I asked him.

"I thought we were cool," he said.

"No, we're not cool. You just so happen to be my son's father, so I will be cordial with you for him," I told him.

"Y/N, I'm sorry for what I said about you," he said.
