"When one draws a line, what do you see?"

The professor drew a simple line on the chalkboard.

It's not straight like a ruler, it's not curved, it's not directing your attention to something. . . It's just a normal, ordinary line.

It's not special.

"I only see a mere line."

Is what almost all of the students answered with. They answered with utter honesty. There was no reason the answer anything different. Either they were blunt, or were confused and gave a simple answer.

"The line is but a line, something ordinary, just like all of us."

A few other students wanted to make it sound poetic and philosophical. They tried to give the line some sort of small meaning... Whether they really think that way - it's up to your imagination.

However, there were only two students alone stood out from the rest.

One was a boy, whose eyes looked as hollow as an endless void, from the Mondstadt Education Department (ED).

"A line is the birth of a chalk. Chalk, is the essence of life. And thus, a line is the proof of something's birth."

This sentence piqued the professor's interest quite a bit, and prodded the boy to elaborate more.

But, his answer was only as hollow as his eyes,

"I don't think I have a reason to."

But aside from him, is the other student. This one was a girl. In contrast of the boy, her eyes were brimming with light and purity, as well as sheer enthusiasm. She was, too, from the Mondstadt ED.

"You say it's a line, and yet. . .I see something more than that."

This, too, made the professor wonder. But from the cold answer of the boy he asked previously, he figured that the girl would give the same response too.

But to his surprise, the girl continued her statement without any needed prodding.

"This line is a masterpiece." She began, with a smile,

"When you draw a line, it's part of something much bigger. What I see is the completed drawing. And I know that it is the greatest drawing yet."

The professor was quite taken aback by the words of this optimistic girl. Her philosophy is unlike the other students.

How does she know, from the bottom of her heart, that something as simple as a line, can soon be turned into a work of art?

"That's all I'm willing to explain..."

Needless to say, both the girl and the boy are definitely to ones who have triumphed in this small test.
