Octavia had never really been the center of attention before. But she knew she liked it. She knew she was hot, and she knew how to be a flirt, and sometime it was just fun to see and laugh at the boys that believed her meaningless flirts. It was kind of mean, kind of childish, but she didn't care, getting out of the house made her feel free, and alive. More than she had in years.
"So I guess you're not just a pretty face," said Jasper as he compared his chem answers with hers.
"I don't think being 'just a pretty face' even exists," said Octavia, twisting her long brown hair between her fingers. "I mean everyone has thoughts, there has to be some depth to even the prettiest people."
"Whoa you got pretty deep there."
"Who's going in deep?" Monty slammed his books down on the table. "I procrastinated on all my English homework and I hate my life."
"Yeah, wonder how you procrastinated," said Jasper as he mimed smoking weed.
"Shut up, Jasper," said Monty. "I just have to write an essay in twenty minutes. Think I can do it?"
"I believe in you."
