Nicole held out the phone. "Have you seen this woman?" The guard studied the photo for a few moments. "You've seen her?"

The guard shrugged, handing back the phone, muttering in Arabic.

"I don't think he understands you," Waverly observed. "Robert can speak Arabic. We could ask him to interpret. Or Jeremy can help us. I think he understands Arabic at least."

The sound of an engine made them turn, a shabby food truck approaching, pictures of fruit on the side along with Arabic writing. The guard opened the gate without leaving his hut, waving the vehicle through.

"Are Robert and Rosita together?" Nicole said, handing back the phone.

Waverly nodded. "His wife's in Cairo. Ros has been on the same digs as Perry. Honestly thought they were together when I first met them."

"A cosy arrangement. What do you make of Robin?"

"He's okay. With Jeremy, although not in public in case someone reports them. It's really strict here."

"Good to know. And, Jeremy?"

"He's lovely. Almost as protective as Perry."

"Which brings me to Harvard guy. Can't put my finger on it." Reaching the entrance to the accommodation block, Nicole held the door open. "Something about him."

"I think that's wishful thinking."

"I know you're thinking I'm jealous of him, which I'll admit I am, or was. No, there's something else. He's all over you with his eyes."

"Like you're not. I saw you Sheriff Haught."

"That was all part of my investigation, you and that towel, or should I say you without that towel."

"Oh, investigation. And, how far does this investigation of yours go?"

"Hoping all the way. I need to make sure I've checked everything is where I left it."

Waverly laughed. "I've some investigating of my own to do."

"Must be the beer. Or, the salt."

"Why?"

"I've not felt this horny since high school."

"Me too."

Racing along the corridor, Nicole placed the key in the door, the sight greeting them not what they expected. Waverly let out a scream at the same time as Nicole grabbed her. "What the fuck?"

"Miss me?" Wynonna said. "Haught, what are you doing here?"

"I knew it. I fucking knew it," Nicole replied. "What the fuck Wynonna?"

"I could do with a shower and a change of clothes."

"Where the hell have you been?" Waverly said, rushing to hug her sister. "I thought you were dead."

"So did I. Not entirely sure. A warehouse of some kind I think."

Waverly still had hold of her sister, tears streaming down her cheeks. "I'm just glad you're alive. Don't ever do that to me again, you hear."

"Didn't have much choice. I could do with a beer too, if there's any going."

"You've been missing days," Nicole said. "Waverly called me."

"So that's why you're here. How sweet, you came for me."

"Yes, for you," Nicole snapped. "I knew it. I knew this would happen."
