The flashback

*FLASHBACK 7 YEARS AGO*
Today is the day my mum would be leaving everyone. My grandma from my mums side who lived in France was in the hospital. She had previous medical conditions but they apparently were getting worse. That's what my mum told me at least, but I was smart and I knew there must be something much worse than that no one was telling me.

I was awoken by a beam of light creeping in from my window shining on my face. I checked the clock on my princess desk beside my bed. It was about 7 am. I didn't sleep well last night anyway. I was tossing around from side to side. I didn't want my mum to go. I know I have a lot of family with me already but mum and I are so close and I don't even know how long she's going to be gone for. I went straight to my mum and dads room. I opened the large wooden door just a crack. I didn't want to wake them because it was early and they have a long day today. I tip toed out of the room, closed the door and ran into the living room. Surprisingly uncle Tobi was up.
"Good morning Bella, how did you sleep" he said very cheerfully.
"Bad! I kept thinking about mum leaving" i said rather upset.
"Im sure she will be fine, try not to worry about it we're all here for you and anyways today we have a fun day shooting a video!"

"Mummy, Dont leave!!!" I shouted as I ran towards the door through the legs of where everyone was huddled up at.
As I ran up to her she kneeled down to my level and cupped my cheek so we were both eye to eye.
"I know darling but I'll be back before you know it I just have to see if grandma's ok. Besides all your uncles will be with you and you'll have so much fun" She said not that convincingly.
"Ok, ill try Bye I love you" I said trying not to cry.
"I love you to darling" she replied.
Not knowing those were the last words she would ever say to me.
I watched as she got in our grey car we would always go in on family trips and left.
I was now starting to tear up as I hid behind uncle Ethans arm not wanting to watch my mum as she left. And I think my dad picked up on it.
"Aw Bells come here." He said with a sympathetic smile. As he bent down to picked me up, He rested my head on his chest to calm me down and patted my back. "it's ok, mama will be back before you know it"as he said that he kissed my forehead as I closed my heavy eyes begging to drift off to sleep.
