Lee A-Yeong's p.o.v

In the world I live there are two kinds of people with abilities: descendants of larethian who fight for justice and peace and barbarians who are the curse of this land. They are the demons who lurk in darkness in search of humans' tender flesh.

This power and destruction has a legend behind it. People say that a very long time ago when humans and deities lived in peace with each other. There was a deity who fell in love with a human girl but when the girl was brewing water she was accidentally killed by a poisonous arrow headed towards a deer. This leads to the deity's curse bestowed on us, he cursed mankind with barbarians. Barbarians started an era of terror and fright for the humans. But this terror came to an end by a young woman lost her lover due to the catastrophe caused by the barbarians, she prays to the deity and says " Just like how you lost your lover due to us, I also lost my lover due to you, so tell me which curse should I gave to you. " The deity who felt guilty towards her, gave humans blessings or you can say powers to protect ourselves.

And I, Lee A-Yeong, am a normal human being without any powers but just like how demons desire heaven I also desire larethians powers not because I want frame and pride. But to protect myself from-

A loud slapping sound echoed through the whole classroom.

End of p.o.v

As soon as the class ended A-Yeong ran towards the terrace, her eyes filled with tears.

Her head only muddled with thoughts of escaping. She was broken, she always thought that larethians were there to protect humans but she was wrong. Not all larethians are honest and justice seekers, some are demons in human skin just like Kim Bong-cha a larethian who bullies everyone in the name of power.
