Taylor and Eros were giggling when they walked in. All sound stopped as they took in the sight before them. Fifteen had left by that point, and Iris was hugging Zack, occasionally requesting to hug me. She constantly asked us both if we were happy. I couldn’t imagine being able to say no.

Taylor scooped Iris up, “Hey, pretty girl,” he kissed her gently. “Did you make sure T and Tack were happy?” She nodded. “That’s my girl.”

Eros hugged Zack tightly, quickly apologizing. Zack shook his head. “Don’t be sorry. I was not exactly a good person then. I can’t blame you, and you were only trying to keep Treble safe.”

“I’m so glad you’re okay,” he said quietly.

Taylor chuckled quietly. “My, oh my, how the tables have turned.”

“It’s so weird…being all angel,” Zack said quietly. “Whose soul do I have? Nobody ever said who it belonged to.”

I cleared my throat, sticking up a hand. “It’s only a little bit.”

“But…I need a full soul to wake up,” he blinked.

Taylor rubbed the back of his neck. “We saw it fitting that we all donate a bit of soul to keep you alive,” he shrugged. “That was enough to be a full soul.”

“Does this mean I’m a virgin again?” Zack frowned. I laughed, kissing his knuckles delicately. “I’ll take that as a yes. So you get to take mine like I took yours.”

I nodded, pulling his lips to mine. “We need to get back to reconstructing so we can get everyone back into Heaven and back to normal.”

“Are we just gonna let the humans d-die?” Zack tripped on the last word. I blinked at him with a raised eyebrow. “I mean…they aren’t all bad.”

“How do we tell the good from the bad?” I asked, running my fingers over his abs from under his shirt. I kissed his shoulder and waited for his answer.

Zack blushed violently, “Your thoughts are r-really loud, T.” My eyes widened. Being an angel meant being able to read minds, and since he was an angel, he’d be able to hear my thoughts clear as day. I bit my lip, holding in a grin as I leaned over him. He gulped as I kissed down his throat.

“Should I stop?” I asked as I kissed over his strong jaw.

“Won’t they tear my wings out if we…?”

“We’re married,” I said into his mouth. “They’re not gonna touch your beautiful wings, my love.”

He nodded, pushing up the hem of my shirt and tracing soft circles into my hip with his thumb. His mouth pressed to my ear, and he whispered gently, “Later,” and pecked my cheek as if he hadn’t said anything at all. My heart pounded in my throat and I struggled to nod. His mouth was back at my ear, “You’re so beautiful,” he whispered with a smile.

“Back to the humans,” Taylor sighed. “I think they were fated to die out like this. From the disease. The cure is impossible. We tried for weeks.”

“Can we try again? Just for a little while?” Zack asked. “There are some good humans out there. Like Jacob. We should try to save the Jacobs.”

Taylor looked at me, “Your call.”

“We’ll try one last time. If it doesn’t work, then we can’t do anything more for them other than let them die out in peace,” I nodded. “Sin’s a science nerd, so we can have him do a lot of the work.”

Zack bobbed his head. Iris touched Taylor’s lips, “Wing Daddy, I hungry.”

Taylor kissed the girl’s head. “We’ll be back. Eros, are you staying?”
